I started playing in summer of 2010, was on every day after work. I did the grind, went through the whole invite to ls, ls sucks, 2nd ls was good, but had some crap people, met friends in ls, formed own ls thing. I've got several good friends that are funny as ever, great guys.

That said, I've taken several breaks since January of this year. I've come back for a month, then a couple weeks, then couple of days. Every time I come back I feel like I'm even further behind with little way to catch up. I had to take breaks due to rl issues at work and with family, they eased up, but every time I log in I find myself thinking "ok, what to do now, tired of looking at this damned moogle".

At this point I'm looking for FFXIV to come out. FFXI is like crack, meth, heroin, and marijuana rolled up in a nice caffeine soaked tobacco paper and lit with a rage flame from hell. I've not logged in for over a week and still come to these threads.

Sorry i know thisn post has been dead but i got a question if i were to come back and play maybe 1 to 2 hours a day will i get anithing done? Or is it still slow to get things done.

Well things are built for low man and you can solo quite a bit of things. You can even use alter egos to lvl all the way to 99. My point is you can play your way and at your pace. I think you could get somethings done. If you wanted to do an event do so on a day off or something.

As long as you are competent and focused on the right content then you can easily stay up to date with a few hours here and there. SKCNM,High-tier battleground,Skirmish,Wildskeeper Reives, and Delve are all relatively short and you don't have to commit to set groups.

Get some welfare er.. sparks gear or coalition and start with doing WKR and Skirmish. You can even solo or lowman skirmishes and SKCNM with trust npcs out.

Fun that after a year the op come back after starting a convo here.

They say good things happen to those who wait lol. If you come back now, the game is actually better than ever. They introduced a host of new things that is extremely helpful to help newbies and returning players to catch up in gearing. So many contents have been added since last year. SoA which was a total shyait at launch, has turned into a somewhat formidable content. Even if you only have 2-3 hours to play, you can still get a lot done now.

At the end of the day, find a good social linkshell, make a few friends ASAP, try to be helpful. And sadly, I truly hope you love playing white mage or bard, since those two jobs will help you to get a few things done. Translation: very few people can play white mage and bard - and those support and healer job is very much needed on endgame. No need to dual box at all.

Yes, there's no need to burn yourself out playing like crazy or at anyone else's pace.

My wife and I are using Campsitarus with our trust NPC's. Hey, there's fun to be had that's not end-game.

Definetely, Running all the missions before getting max or high level is really fun too.
