Shiva is generally around the low 1000s outside of JP primetime, 2000+ during it. I see server merges happening in the future again, though it's obviously not a positive trend developing.
EU prime time is around 600 people in cerby
considering the amount of mules and people who afk instead of log out when they're not playing... Yea, dead. Cerby just seems dead since I quit, because they lost such a huge % of the total mass of players.
(My taru was very, very fat) was wonderin if you quit or not
I did'nt really have a choice when I did, since my PC died :P
When I got a new pc the month after I just managed to stay away, so now I've been ffxi-free since late april! i get on mostly to pick fights these days lol

This game is pathetic and those that take it seriously are excellent examples of manchildren. Happy 11th anniversary. ![]() Awh don't say that. People may not take you seriously when you post on a forum for an MMO 3000 times. ![]() Cerberus.Anjisnu said: » i get on mostly to pick fights these days lol Yeah.. On a different server with new friends :( different server with old friends is more truthful more or less like an old dog crawling under the house to die lol

Working a lot, I log on randomly here and there and nothing much ever going on on Fenrir either. LS gets together maybe 1-2 times a week for a couple hours and do some thing together. I have FFXIV account, maybe I should take a another look at it.
Implying everyone has a pc powerful enough to sustain running XI and XIV at the same time.
My computer crashed when I tried loading both XI and XIV at the same time. Only tried that once though, so dunno if it was just an odd incident.
Wow, that was a ton of replies, and minus the few tards, all good reasons. Yes 11 years is one hell of a run for a game like this. I guess my problem is everyone already did all the stuff I want to do in my time off. For example upgrading empyrean gear, trial weapons, vwnm, meebles. I just laugh when I see people with 15+ lvl 99 jobs and for the most part they probably don't know how to even play those jobs. I know there are probably some who are proficient in them all, but probably not very many. I guess I just miss the good ol days where you actually learned how to play your job through leveling.
I just hope XIV doesn't flop again, my PC won't play it but I will give it a shot on PS3. Sylph was a nightmare. Between massive amounts of retards, cheaters with inferiority complexes and low population,it was the worst server ever. Sadly, mosy servers arent even much better....but that seems to be the worst
Really there is a lot of reasons. The age of the game, everyone trying out 14 beta (had tons of peoples from ls and events go mia when it started), summer time nice weather, Also people just don't like all the work they put into things like trials /relics/empys and so on being made seem a waste.
There is going be a need for a big merger with them making so much content that that is geared for large groups like delve and wildkeeper and then things like coalitions and reives that require constant upkeep. Hell you can't really find time to do it all and you end up feeling like you'll be left behind if you don't. Ad on top that if you do things like crafting and finding time for that and the new invo heavy mog gardens. You can't help but laugh at them still having the splashs creen at start saying don't forget about your real life. "yes quit xi to give se more money from xiv!!"
Everyone who says this in spite must not realize the current producer of 14 is the one who kept xi alive for so long. edit: so im atleast contributing, ragnarok slowed down alot after phase 3 beta started. ive been on beta myself trying to help find the bugs and make suggestions so when xi shuts down, you all will have something else to do :p Ragnarok.Zeromega said: » "yes quit xi to give se more money from xiv!!" Jeez, even my shitty work computer can run DOTA 2, FFXIV (old and new) and 3 instances of FFXI. And it's literally 2009 edition.

Sylph has been dying for some time. Though i really cant just say that its just sylph, its all the servers. 11 has had its day to shine, now its all about 14. If i were still a leader of an LS, i wouldnt hold it against my members if they jumped ship. We were getting to the point where farming Aby was just to "robotic". Though in the the shell i am in, its always RL > FFXI.
I long for the days of our 75 cap. I feel that 11 is geared for the hardcore gamer, where as 14 is geared more for the weekend warrior. And after doing all that farming for my friends in 11, i just want to relax and hit things by myself. My time in 11 has been a great one. Met alot of great friends, made some enemies too. I do hope that 11 gets some sort of saving grace though. It helped take my mind of stuff during a bad point in my life. I do hope im able to log in on the server shut down, to put myself in my favorite spot, and watch that sun set one last time. Its easy as hell in 14 to get things done by yourself. And now that they got the duty finder up and going, all you need to do is input the job you want to go as and wait. Hell you can even change to your miner, or leatherworker and skill up. Not like the 2 hours shouting sessions for SoA area content, or any other content for that matter. I hate to say it, but this game is going to be taking a major hit with the release of 14. If you think its bad now. Just wait till the full release. (thats what she said) It's really not all servers. Almost 2k people on at 9 am on Asura. Probably could use a merge for the less populated though. :o

You'll likely see it drop back down under 1500 once most of the JPs go to bed. Whereas prior to Delve coming out, 2k was primetime NA, and cross-region would push 3k. Also, regarding the producer directing, think is best bla bla, it doesn't work like that. There are many, many, a very huge number of things that get shat on before it even reaches Yoshida's brain. |
