Want To Start Doing Delve

I'm going to be honest getting the best gear on your DRK will be harder than getting the gear for your WHM. Everyone can use a healer where ever they are. Basically you rub each others back.

Your DRK is still missing crucial pieces from NNI and Aby. You mind as well do both and get WHM gear while you're at it. Just because you have a delve weapon doesn't mean you can hit the mob or know how to play the job. You'll need to cap haste/acc/atk as an delve dd.

I really hate shout delve pties unless the person I know is capable of setting one up with the proper jobs and hard to find job spots filled. Think of it this way: would a person join a pt that a DRK is leading or a pt that anyone else is leading? It's a rhetorical question because there's not difference between the two. You have to differentiate yourself from others either by knowledge of Delve and job and also have the gear to show for it.

As I said in another post: Take your time. Gear will eventually come to you.

Get the ones that'll be easily obtainable first such as Abyssea +1/+2 gear. Other gear from Abyssea such as the VwNMs like Breeder, etc. can be done in small groups of six or smaller depending on who's with you.

Then, look for people that can help you with NNI especially ones from your own LS or Friend List. I'm sure there are people there that'll help you.

Harder to obtain gears would be from Voidwatch since, especially with my luck, it'll take dozens and dozens of tries to get something like the Heka gear. (Heck, I still have not seen the Harp or Robe drop from Caelano after 36 tries!) Hopefully you have more shouts for pick up groups for VW than on Bismarck. I usually just see Uptala and Caelano, but rarely any other ones. Maybe you'll have better luck than me on your server because I'd still like to get the Heka body armor from VW yet no one shouts for it here.

Probably ignore Legion unless you are either in a) an LS that can capably take down Legion HNMs or b) can find a good group of very good players that can do that. I have not done Legion myself either since my LS doesn't do them and I have not seen a shout for pick up groups for it. So, I'm SOL on that.

Other gear mentioned in this thread can be bought from the AH. You could feasibly do Salvage I/II since they're doable with 3 to 6 people and sell the Alexandrites for money. Yes, people are upgrading Mythics. (Well, on my server anyways.) Dynamis currency still sells pretty decently if you have a job that can solo farm it such as DNC or BST or even THF. And, there might be good gear for DRK as well from Salvage II.

As for DRK, I highly recommend you work on an accuracy set and a weaponskill set for Delve. Getting 90 or 95 on your Relic would even be better until you can get the Delve Greatsword weapon. That's if you still want to bring DRK to Delve. A lot of DRKs I've done Delve with have done fine in Delve so long as they have a good accuracy/WS set AND a 90 or 95 R/E/M weapon. I just don't think scythe is any good lately especially many DRKs I know joke about it for some reason. Then again, I'm not a DRK so I don't know what's better-- scythe or greatsword.

How much accuracy would I need?

To quote my Japanese friend, something around 600-620ish accuracy for Delve, especially if doing Morimar Basalt Fields. I believe 624 was the value he told me, but it could be higher. This is factoring in both stats (DEX for non-ranged melee, AGI for ranged melee), combat skills, merits, gear and food that contribute to overall accuracy. (Then, again, that Raptor NM is a pain in the *** to fight with its high evasion.)

Example: (Hopefully my math checks out.)
My RNG has 443 Archery skill (Gear, combat skill, merits). Doing the math, that gives me 418 Ranged Accuracy (200+218).

AGI comes to 99+34, or 133 AGI (Merits, gear). This gives me 66 Ranged Accuracy.

Total now: 484 R. Acc.

Ranged Accuracy from gear comes to +88, bringing my total R. Acc. to 572.

Now, add food:
Pot-au-feu is +3 AGI and +10% to +25% R. Acc. - 631 to 717 R. Acc.
Squid Sushi is +5 AGI and +15% R. Acc. - 660 R. Acc.
Squid Sushi+1 is +5 AGI and +16% R. Acc. - 666 R. Acc.

Yeah and a fail, gimp, unwilling, or lazy WHM will fork up a run a lot worse than a gimp DD will.

Don't bother getting Caladbolg to 90 just so you can do 6~ plasma runs and get a bereaver. That is a huge waste of time, no matter how easy Isgebind is.

Your second option, to me at least, seems like the easiest and least painful route.

It's not a good set, but it works And it's cheap. And the jobs you have available can obtain all of this gear solo. Just a cure set btw. Facio can be augmented up to 12% potency I think, Orison Bliaud +1/2 Solace enhancement is great as well but this set has pretty low potency as is.

Really just break out your Bst and head to abyssea. You can solo damn near everything there. It might not be fast and drops may really suck, but you can do it all by yourself.

Or you can level Cor. No one really cares about their gear. I mean, a Gun, some Cards, and just not being naked and you'd get an invite it seems.
None of this is what I'd call a great idea, and I don't think I'd want to do much of anything with people that are intentionally crapping up a job to make progress, but it's an option and if you are on one of these support jobs, you'll probably get an invite no matter what.
I'm sure none of this seems like a fun option, but it would be the easiest thing for you to do. Unless you do start your own shouts, most people wouldn't take a 90 Caladbolg anymore than they would take an 85.

On the cheap, that's a pretty good WHM cure set. My WHM hits the Cure Potency cap already which is 50%.

BRD, WHM, and COR can pretty much go decently geared to Delve with little to no issues. However, WHM requires not only decent gear but some good reaction times and paying attention. I cannot emphasize enough that a WHM with very good gear that doesn't pay attention will not do as good as a WHM with semi-decent gear who actually does. I kid you not.

BRD can get away with being decently geared, but you will need to help sleep Delve mobs if necessary/pulling. You'll need some decent Wind instrument and CHR gear to sleep Delve mobs. (Or String instrument skill if you are using a harp like Nursemaid's Harp.)

COR is probably the only support job I can think of that can go into Delve wearing a Bronze subligar set and still do fine. (Yes, I'm joking on the Bronze subligar set.) Why? Stats and Markmanship skill don't affect Phantom Rolls. You could probably show up in Corsair AF1 and still do fine. As long as you have the necessary rolls which typically is Chaos, Evokers, Rogues, Tacticians, and Fighters, and know "how to math" (in other words, add numbers), you should do fine. Other rolls I've seen used are Healers, Scholars, and Magus rolls, though very rarely. And, have a good amount of Trump Cards (20,000 Gil for a stack in Nashmau) and a gun with a bullet, any bullet, and a macro for Light and Dark Shot, and you can sleep (Light Shot) and Dispel (Dark shot), if needed. Just don't expect to be pulling numbers on the level of a RNG with your gun though.

I'm not seeing a demand for WHMs anymore on Lakshmi, and I had the same plan as you to level it in order to join more plasm runs. It seems everyone wants SCHs instead for the healing role.
