The vast majority of people that bot for skill ups do it as they sleep or are out or something. The whole point of doing it is so that it doesn't interfere with your daily FF activities. At least it was for me when I played.

Ok,assuming the number is correct,(I doubt it though) it does nothing to original point.

My original point is, if you don't ban bot, you lose more profit in the long run, not trying to find specific number for cheaters.

Even if SE wants to ban windower, they can not detect.
Bot is easily detectable, and less ppl uses it.

If SE doesn't ban bot, ppl would bot as common as using windower, and kill this game.

Botting really has no detriimental effets on the game when skilling/synthing. You can say flooding the market with gil using NPC bots is bad, but then thats the HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE people saying "Economics!" selling things at 9mil when they are worth 30K and then selling it for 20K when its worth 30K.

Last time i checked leviathan had around 800-960+ online only on weekdays. It's a major ghost town compared to lakshmi. nobody there does reive anymore unless jp primetime or weekends.

The only abyssea area that gets populated is lathiene plat, bots gaining exp/ some players farming emp arp/ochain on altep. /Small groups of casual linkshells doing salvage.

Loads of afks non-active players can be seen on jeuno and adoulin for DAYS. Everyone know that this is happening on most servers.

Ffxi forums are flooded with complains about how stale and empty the game is atm, you're just on denial. See ya on ff14.

Last time you checked? You the FFXI spy? People do reives, its getting adjusted next update as well. I'm not going to deny that the population numbers are going down or that they are less than they were four months ago or what have you. Point is, FFXI is here to stay and it won't die.

The game lost several servers already and it's on a huge decline now, the upcoming updates are irrelevant and most people are not happy about it.

Reive fixes won't bring anyone back, specially the massive train of /ragequits because Adoulin shadowed the R/E/M weapons.

This is going to take very long for SE to compensate this. They took almost 5 years for Wing Of the Goddess. It will be worse now because they released a terrible rushed/ badly executed expan that got ffxi forums flooded with madness. This is why i stopped buying SE games, it's a terrible company, just like capcom. I only have hope on 14.

As much as he is in denial, you talking about FFXIV being the other solution when FFXI has failed recently is just as delusional as he is.

Open your eyes, there are millions of games worth playing over any MMO of this generation to begin with, and there are many, many online games, MMO or MOBA or anything else that are going to fill your time better than FFXI or FFXIV can.

Both games are being handled by a bad company and bad directors right now. Waiting for change is one thing, it may happen, but saying "see you on FFXIV" as if it was better is plain wrong.

I can see SE restructuring at some point in the near future. As far as the future of FFXI, it's days are definately numbered.

The game looks good and it's good now. I still have some hope like i mentioned on previous post, because the current director fixed the horrible mess that tanaka made on 1.0/ yoship is a hardcore mmo fan and tried several games . I currently play a lot of others mmos ( casually)that are fun , i barely log on ffxi but to do somethings that is not allowed to mention here.

I don't think you quite understand what people mean when they say "FFXI is dying." They don't mean THE GAME IS GOING TO SHUT DOWN TOMORROW. It simply means the game is past it's prime, activity keeps declining, and servers are generally well, dead. You guys take it so literally and get all defensive about it, I don't get it lol.

Valefor is suffering pretty bad (though being in an ls makes it less annoying). I just don't think people on healthy servers can see the "XI is dying" argument, anymore than people on the low-pop servers can understand "XI is fine".

Following the other track the derail took us too, I wish XIV had been XI-V2. They took everything from this game except what made it shine. Party play primarily. If the rate of exping remains the same, leveling to cap, as in all current MMOs is a days-long process, and much faster if you can tag-team it with a friend. Call auto-attack boring, but 1,2,1,2,1,2,3 isn't so hot either.

Anyone who isn't in a LS/doesn't have the time to wait for Delve groups can feel the game loss of speed. Being on X or Y server doesn't change anything at this point, unfortunately.

That's why the situation isn't 100% bad. The game the way it is is very interesting for people who can afford to spend a lot of time playing or have a decent LS clearing the content. Unfortunately, those are a minority, which is why the playerbase is diminishing.

But I really believe that the way the game is right now, it's ton of fun as soon as you can afford the time and have a proper group, it really reminds me of 2006-2009 when there was a lot of stuff to do. Even if now it's only one event it can be spammed so, it's all good I guess.
