Also, nerf BST. Two unique axes from Naakuals (and their hyper-counterparts) means clearly BST has seen enough love.

On a pessimistic note, these weapon types aren't nearly as used as the previous batch of Naakuals meaning these guys will go obsolete faster than Achuka/Tchakka/Colkhab.
I could be wrong and the gear could be amazing but club, scythe and axe arent popular weapon types and the gaxe is the standout.

Supposedly there's 7 Naakuals, and I believe the Seventh (Titled "The Undying") is probably Dark. Knowing SE they'll probably split these two apart in implementation too. Do you want an Ice Gun or a Dark Gun?

Yeah, that's probably true. I suppose Ruinator would be a lot of fun with the axe, though.
I will laugh so hard if the club becomes the new Kculb. 22 dmg 2-8x hits.

I always thought "Hades", dark based, ruled over the 7 naakauls and that he would be the mega boss but I guess only time will tell.

There is also artwork of Hades(same series of pics where we had a glimpse of geo/run empy armor), and you can see his head in the Amano poster. So the presence of Hades in this expansion is a sure thing, whether it'll be a naakual or the final enemy of the storyline though we'll see(could be both too!)

I'd like to make an announcement about the next version update.
We’ve been working extremely hard to fit as much content as possible in the July version update so everyone can enjoy it over summer break, but due to balance adjustments, bug verification, and localization work we will be splitting up the update into two portions, the first taking place on July 9th (Tuesday) and the other taking place the beginning of August.
I apologize to everyone who was looking forward to this.

Up until now we have released year-long roadmaps for FFXI.
We also tried releasing half-year roadmaps as well; however, the further out we write a schedule the less accurate it becomes, and we are only able to let you know about major and limited content.
As a result, many have been disappointed because of schedule changes, it's been difficult to make frequent updates to it, and there are too many cons to having this, so we'll be changing it so we provide something like the current style moving forward where we go over what will be in the version update to come.
