A Quick BLU Question

So I was wondering about something, I just recently burned my BLU from lvl 1-88. Is this going to make it super difficult to get BLU spells? I mean I only have Sandspin. Will it make it impossible for me to play? Or is BLU kinda like FFXI poke'mon gotta catch em all style with spells?

I have little idea what you mean specifically, but you can skill up your blue magic skill using Sandspin and progressively learn your spells as your skill gets higher.

Learn about 3-4 easy to spam spells (foot kick, sprout smack, power attack, head butt, etc). Cap sword skill. Then I fought buffalo in ulegard [a]. I used two regen atma (Vissitude, Mounted Champion, Stronghold) and minikin monstrosity, and spammed the same spells to skill it up. I /dnc to heal myself if regen wasn't enough. A good eva or pdt set will help too. Then it's just a matter of learning all the spells. Prioritize the spells in Prothescar's guide and abyssea/VW procs.

You cannot learn BLU spells until your Blue Magic skill is leveled within 29 skill points or less of that spells BLU Job Level including any +skill gear you are wearing.

Below level 50, that 29 skills is roughly 9 BLU job levels. Above 51 I think it drops to 5 job levels due to the skill per level increase on all magic/combat skills.

i.e. Plasma Charge is a BLU75 spell. BLU's blue magic skill caps at 276 at Lvl 75 (I think...), so you need to be at least 276 -29 skill (247) to learn it regardless if you are a 75 BLU or a 99 BLU.

I'd highly suggest you do your best to level your skill to 200+, learn a few spells, then hit up a Abyssea exp party and make your way to 99 while skilling up as much as possible along the way. BLU/RDM, build yourself like a tank and you can effectively solo just about any fodder mob in Abyssea from 85+.

Don't forget your AF hands, otherwise there'll be hard times ahead

If you have windower, and can afk skill up ~ find some secluded spot and spam pollen ~ Usually /sch sublimation will be enough to keep you fully stocked MP wise.

Personally, I enjoyed playing BLU the old way, soloing 1-75 learning your spells as you progressed, trying to chain EM-T monsters... I feel anyone who burns it, will miss a great experience and the knowledge of spell bonuses vs mobs etc ~

More to the point, I would just learn the spells you need to 88, try a few of the harder hitting ones and all your VW procs. There is no need to "catch them all" but isn't that half the fun?!?
