Looking for a new mouse to go with my Cooler Master Quick Fire Rapid - so far looked at corsair m65 and Razer naga
1. its has to look cool ! (and perhaps red back light)
2. anyone use a mouse with programmable bind buttons? any point to them for ff ?
3. i would prefer a mouse that looks as close to a "normal" mouse and not a piece of art
suggestions please

I have a razer death adder and it's pretty good (albeit it's only got 2 extra buttons on the side...)
I looked at the naga and it's a pretty beefy mouse.

I use a logitech G5,because the G9 is too small for my hand, even with the large grip. But if you have girly small hands then maybe the G9 would do you nicely
But if I was gonna upgraded (this is just an old G5 I had laying around) I'd get that new logitech MMO mouse :x

Razer Naga is incredible. No regrets. Extremely smooth handling, 12 extra buttons on the side and 2 on the top are invaluable and it looks awesome too.
Also recommend a gaming mousemat - cheap and it makes a surprising difference. I use a Razer Goliathus Omega.

I find this mouse both cool looking and normal. I have small hands so I enjoy the custom options it includes.

I've used dozens of different mice/pad combinations over the years (including when I was *** mad for THE BEST MOUSE for our counterstrike matches). I've had the gabajillion DPI mice, the best bluetooth mouse money could buy, etc etc etc.
Today if you gave me a pick of any mouse, I'd still take a Microsoft Itellimouse (actually i'd take 20 if i could still find them for the 9.99 I used to get them for).
Set weapon quickswitch to the scroll wheel and reload to left thumb and baby I'm good to go. All fluff aside Microsoft el-cheapo mouses never skipped when I needed them not to, all lasted me 5 years MIN, and gave me great response. My recommendation is find a cheap one that looks pretty and save your money.

I'm usually a hater of white electronics, but I have to admit the G600 looks better in white

I had mine set up the same way for CS! Think I burned the grip off the wheel in a week....

The one I use.
It is a decent size (my hands are a little big so the mouse is just a tad too small for me), easily programmable, custom DPI to suit your tastes, and overall a great mouse. My only complaint I have is that I think it needs to be just a bit heavier.
Also and added perk it is both wired and wireless.

Yes.
...It was a toss up between Transformers and Ironman. I went with Michael Bay.

don't get a razer naga~
all my friends including myself who've purchased one(old gen and the new current one) have had major issues.
The left click goes out insanely fast for a mouse's life time.
Its super hard to clean compared to other mice.
It looks cool etc etc and feels good in the hand (if you can get accustomed to it) But honestly its not worth the money.
I'd go for a nice logitech mouse if possible

I hope mine doesn't die :( I'm loving it at the moment! I simply don't know how I lived without the 14 extra buttons.

the first gen model~ had a factory defect with an issue that the life time of the left click~
not the actual button that was clicking but the piece of plastic that presses down on the button (under the left click button) wasn't durable enough to withstand high mouseclick load (sorta like what you get when you play an rts or fps game)
my friend who received a razer naga epic for xmas died on him in January. The mouse doesn't recognize that it has a left click. The only thing that works on his mouse is the movement. He tried installing/uninstalling drivers~ testing it out on different systems and talking with tech support.

Meh, I have a Razer Naga Molten that i've had since like late '10? and I love it, haven't had any problems at all and I've used it pretty heavily playing Starcraft II, MMO's, BF3, etc.. on a daily basis.

maybe i just have stupidly high apm :| and that's why it broke for me.
/shrug.
Could always go to best buy or whatever store. Buy the mouse~ try it out. Don't like it, return it. Get store credit. Then get the other mouse.

Maybe I'm just lucky and ended up with a decent one lol.
And now that I think about it I did have a driver problem when I first got the mouse... I couldn't get it to recognize it and ended up having to uninstall and reinstall drivers once or twice before it worked.

Hi.
I bought the Naga and the Razor gaming mousepad with the samurai pictures on the box. Very pleased with the performance, super duper smooth.

Hmm, perhaps. I dunno - I've put it through its paces in FPS and RTS (and my APM in Starcraft2 is okay) and it hasn't failed me yet, but I've only had it for a couple of months so time will tell!

The Logitech G600 crushes every other mouse I've owned.
I don't know how the hell I played PC games without this thing, but I know that I can't go back. It's comfy, has programmable buttons and absurdly adjustable sensitivity. For me it is pretty much the perfect mouse. My only complaint would be that I don't quite have the absurd level of programing control on the buttons that I would like, but it's more than sufficient for just about everything you'd reasonably want to do.

k ! just got back from gym but managed to go via the shops and try both a naga (ltd edition) and g600. The pain i went through to convince the shop assistant to unbox them both lol ;;
this was my impression on the two
for looks - the Naga hands down - its stunning... but its a very delicate/small mouse (offers little palm rest/support) so you best using some kind of wrist support/pad
G600 - heavier feel - perhaps better build quality - much more palm support - but does not look any where near as cool!
shame they didnt have any white g600s i cant decide if that would look good or not.
