Hey, everyone. I'm having some odd issues with Kparser. As far as I can tell, I have Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 and both SQL's on my computer (Windows 7, 64 bit), yet it doesn't seem to be working right. It'll selectively (seems random) parse sections of the chat log (mostly stuff like /say and NPC talk), but not combat. Sometimes it'll show me doing some random amount of standard melee damage, but it's very very rare. I've never seen it parse a buff or anything. I'm not sure what to make of this. I've got Run as Administrator checked, I've got UAC disabled anyway, I uninstalled and reinstalled all above mentioned needed software (including Kparser about a dozen times). I'm just not sure what else to do. Any help would be wonderfully appreciated.

Sorry if this sounds painfully obvious, but you do have filters off and set to showing in the chat log, right?

If you're dualboxing, make sure you go to Tools > Options > Specify process.

If it's neither of those, I'm not sure - sorry =(

I'm not dual boxing at all, and the only thing I have filtered is my own misses and stuff that other people do. I'm trying to parse average outputs based on gear variables. I'm pretty much lost as far as figuring this out though. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I mean I've used Kparser in the past. Granted, it's been a long time.

Pretty sure you have to see all of the spam to use kparser properly. You have to see in the log what everyone is doing for it to be recorded. So, having "stuff other people" do filtered ingame will also filter it in kparser.

Right, but I'm not concerned with parsing what they're doing or my own accuracy. I'm just looking to compare damage averages on my own stuff to find optimal gear choices with what I already have. Does that make sense?

You don`t use a parser for that, you use a excel spreadsheet :)
Unless you're gonna do the same thing over and over and over 1000s of times on the exact same mob with the exact same level.

I have my filters to show damage I do, party damage and ally damage, and it works fine for me. The only issue I am having is mob filtering. Example, on Arch Odin, I can see total damage, and damage filters show the adds, but I can not filter to show only Arch-Odin damage. Will even show players listed in the mobs list.

Any ideas on that?

If I'm understanding right, you just choose what mob you want info on from a drop down box above where the numbers parse to.

I'm pretty mathematically challenged, so I figure doing that's over my head. lol

Parses are'nt accurate enough to be used for this unless you're actually planning spending a full week doing so to get accurate data :P
There's some spreadsheets uploaded for different jobs, should just use those.
You don't have to do any math, just input gear and buffs, and it does the rest.

That's where my issue is. The drop box shows the adds, and sometimes a player, but never shows Odin

If I can figure out a spreadsheet, anyone can :p Honestly it's not really difficult, and for someone who's pretty mathematically challenged, Motenten's spreadsheets are a really nice tool.

Sorry for the necrobump but this is the most recent Kparser thread, as such I thought it was a good idea to post my question here.

I have a question about Kparser myself. I have been requested to post parse data on the GW site for the LS I am in, however I do not know how to actually copy and paste extensive data, only the copy summery in the Offense tab. I have heard that there is an easy way to copy and paste such info for sites like GW, is there a way to get an organized and good looking copy from Kparser to paste on the site?

I always just used ctrl+c and then pasted in code tags so that it comes out the same way.

the original kparser still works with normal chatlogs. However, it will NOT be able to read the windower 4 battlemod addon.
