Again, hasn't been the case here. Been doing it since September first, and while I've lost over 20 lbs, all my lifts have gone up in every category.

You might think that, but im sure if you actually went to a doctor, they would tell you totally different.

Also, doing that and eating processed like chipotle is extremely terrible for you.

You should be eating fresh, home made food.

I eat my chicken breasts 6-7 days a week. I just get Chipotle once in a while, and no insurance, so definitely no doctor, but if my numbers start going down or I start visibly losing muscle, then I'll change what I'm doing to something diff

Its not so much the muscle you should worry about. Its more that you are likely damaging your internal organs.

Heart, lungs, kidneys, colon, etc.

Sadly, those you aren't going to notice until the problem is really bad.

But if all you really care about is how you look physically then I suppose its working for you.

Not every fast food joint/take out place is horrible for you. Just sayin'. Lettuce is lettuce man. Typically those companies just use stuff you'd get at a supermarket anyways (pending the product obviously, but the veges are fine and typically Mexican food places serve decent steak).

chain fast food players don't really get their food from a supermarket.

But yes, it depends on the place, and wasn't really talking about chipolte specifically.

Again, I've read studies both ways, so there isn't anything conclusive.

If I get to the point where I start becoming noticeably unhealthy, then I'll stop. That's as much as there is to that.

I can't imagine I'll have the chance to use this anytime soon since unfortunately we don't have a Chipotle around here. Still the mere fact that this thread exists brings me no small measure of happiness. Way to be Tiger; way to be.

Well, you fast every day correct? Because every study ive read for both sides of the argument, have said you should only do it one day a week and not every day.

Kimble is correct, not going to try and persuade you as it's your body etc. But I have been into health and fitness for a long time and have read and seen a lot so it pains me to see misinformation. You are still young and sure you look good but if you keep doing the fasting/eating fast food thing you will probably regret it when you get older as it is very unhealthy. Gaining muscle and losing fat is an improvement but you still have some things to learn.

There is a lot of good and bad information out there. From personal experience bodybuilding.com is a great site with a lot of good information on it for gaining muscle and being healthy at the same time. Anyways, good luck to you tiger.

Really, as Avitori said, you can do as you like, but I just hope you are aware of the very bad side affects it can cause and also to inform others that might like to try it of the side affects as well.

Yes, but nothing I read talked about once a week. Though I looked up intermittent fasting, not any type of religious or any other kind, so specifically looked at what I'm doing as opposed to any other methods of fasting

I have a scale and measuring cups. Just weight/measure everything that needs to be (for example bread doesn't, since it straight up says 50 cals/slice)

It honestly depends on who makes your food. Some employes will load up a burrito when I go, others won't.

Really, its a YMMV kinda thing.

They have every time for me. If they say no, I'm not paying 9 bucks for something that doesn't get me full. I'd honestly turn and walk out

Right, because informing someone that what they are doing could have some serious health risks is hating on them, lol.

Nah, they're just giving me what they feel is good advice and I'm always open to other perspectives, hell, I may do some additional research tonight, but as far as my results have been going, I've been doing well as is, so we'll see. Besides, I still have a long way to go, don't have anything to be jealous of.

This all day. Chipotle is my favorite "fast" food place, and the amount of food they will give before charging extra as well as the level of spiciness depends on each location. I know of 4 near me that I frequent quite often.

You know what else seems to make a difference? Whether or not it's an actual Mexican making the food. I know that seems off or potentially racist, but if I see several Mexican's I can almost be certain it will be nice and spicy without jipping and overcharging me for the most part.

Another strategy I use is casual conversation or asking questions or for extra things on the side which seem to distract them from circling the marking (meaning double meat, charge this person more) lol.

In either case I lol'd tiger.

The only real problem is meats, since those you do have to weigh. Things like cereal and rice, it's as simple as pouring it into a measuring cup before pouring it into your bowl or w/e you're cooking it in.

Penutbutter does suck though. I put the slide of bread on, zero the scale, spread the peanutbutter, then multiply the grams by how many calories there are per gram. Needless to say, I've only had one peanutbutter sandwich since I've started counting.

I take a more direct approach.

>White rice or brown rice?
>>3 scoops of brown rice, one scoop of white rice
>Black beans or pinto beans?
>>3 scoops of black beans, 2 scoops of pinto beans

and so on

I don't usually get any beans or vegetables in mine. Purely overstuffed with rice chicken and/or steak (sometimes I get adventurous and do both). I do have them load up on cheese and a little sour cream though. It's at the point where they struggle to close my burrito lol.

When I'm old and gray, and ready to just give up on the world. I'm going to go to Chipotle and eat until I die. (Not really I'd rather die a few other ways but this makes the top 10 for sure.)

That's the only way to do it. Anything less, again, I'd just walk out.
