For those of you who like Chipotle, Iwrote a guide to getting a lot more food than anyone else

1) Get a bowl, not a burrito.
2) Ask for a tortilla in the bottom of your bowl
3) Ask for your meat on the side
4) Get as much food as you can in the burrito bowl (This particular one has 3 scoops brown rice, 1 scoop white rice, 3 scoops black beans, 2 scoops pinto beans, lettuce, salsa, and had them fill the rest w/ more rice and beans)

Grats, now you have about x4 the food, for the same price.

Few tips for eating
1) Eat about half of the bowl
2) Add the meat
3) Eat a bit more
4) Roll it up into a burrito
5) Finish it off

Yeah, I've been noticing that Chipotle has been skimping on the everything. That's usually when I stop and ask for more scoops of well... everything except lettuce because these cheap *** will drown your bowl in lettuce to make it look like you've got a mountain of food.

I'm on to you Chipotle. And no I don't want white rice - brown onry!

And where's the sour cream!?

I love sour cream, but I'm counting calories and just a small scoop of that thing is 100 calories, which is why I didn't get the cheese either. Rather just get more beans for the same calories and get more full.

The burrito was just shy of 2k calories. I'm getting about 3k per day. I'd rather fill the other 1000 with ***that's going to keep me full than spending 200/1000 of it on sour cream and cheese.

I don't get it- you want to get more food, but you're counting calories so you don't get sour cream or cheese. I doubt you would be getting any less of anything else if you got those too.

EDIT: Beaten.

What's not to get? I want my calories to be made of things that keep me full. I fast 18 hours of the day; so I'm avoiding empty calories.

If you want sour cream and cheese, then by all means, (the instructions didn't even say not to get them lol. I just told you guys what I personally ended up getting).

The only reason I didn't get them is due to my diet. If it weren't for that, I'd have gotten that as well. Still got more food than anyone else in that store will today.

I'm guessing you have a hard time keeping milk in your house (still no fridge, right?) so the cheese would be a welcome addition (Calcium).

I don't drink my calories anyways. Doesn't keep me full per unit of calorie. I'm only drinking water, diet drinks, and varieties of flavored water (been drinking a lot of Mio lately).

Maybe once every 2-3 weeks, I have a smoothie on cheat day, but that's about it as far as drinking calories are concerned.

You still need to try and meet minimum nutrition requirements, of which the calcium from dairy is pretty important.

lol at people arguing just for the sake of it.

"YOU HAVE TO EAT THIS, EAT THIS!!!" it's his diet, he's not telling YOU what to eat, just a strategy to get more for your money.

I don't care about the strategy guide for Chipotle. I'm more concerned with his own personal diet.

Sadly we have to follow a certain "serving size" as told by cheap managers, etc, but like any serving food place (or most) all you have to do is ask for more rice/beans/etc, rarely should someone tell you no. Only thing they are really Nazi's about is the meats but eh I'll give some more meat and not tell them its extra :)

I got "80% of the daily recommended calcium" in my cereal today (ate it dry, would have been 200%+ w/ milk)

Chipotle wasn't the only thing I ate, still had 1000 calories to fill in afterwards

Mio is Altana's gift to fit folks who get sick of plain water.

Nice strat on getting more for your burrito. Do you actually burn off 3000 calories a day? I don't recommend fasting. Better to eat in portions.

I bike 200 miles a week on average in transportation. I'm in the gym 4-5 days a week (mostly 4 but sometimes 5). I do non biking cardio at a somewhat intense level 3 days a week (I run an obstacle course non stop, 29 obstacles(pull ups, parallel bars that i hop from one end to the other then do dips, etc., 1.8 miles, takes about 22-28 mins to complete depending on my pace)

Sunday is pretty much the only day I'm completely inactive. (Vs Thursday, where I do the most amount of biking I'll do on a single day in the week, go to the gym, and run the obstacle course)

As far as fasting goes, was asked about it in a PM earlier as well.

I'm at the same activity level as I was before and I've only been counting calories for 2 weeks. Other than that I ate w/e I wanted whenever I wanted. Only change I made was eating within a window rather than whenever I wanted, but still ate whatever I wanted.
September(started fasting September 1st) on the left, January on the rightWent from 175ish to 152, and not only haven't I lost any strength, all my lifts have actually gone up, so losing muscle wasn't/isn't a concern

It's been working for me, so I'm going to stick with it. If it's not broke don't fix it.

Can't wait to see what comes next, now that I'm actually counting calories and watching what I eat, cutting back on candy, sweets, and empty calories.

Word. I'm doing the same with dieting and loading on high protein means. My max calories is around 1100-1200 a day and drink tons of water.

oh wow, height/weight? I'm pretty small myself at 5'5" 152 lbs, but if I ate 1100 cals a day, I'd probably die. Was hard enough to do 2000 for the week I tried that.

I'm 5'11" weigh 193 right now. I've lost about 7 lbs since I started dieting over a week ago. I do martial arts so I try to work more strength exercises like push ups, sit-ups, etc. Problem is I don't burn a lot of the calorie.

^^;; just saying but dark green leafy vegtables are a better source of calcium as getting it from milk is pretty counterproductive :X but the USDA would go broke if that was common knowledge and advertised instead of "milk does a body good!" lol

Milk is actually pretty horrible for you. You don't need it. We are the only animal that:

1) Drinks another animals milk
2) Drinks milk outside of infancy.

I've read studies stating both that and the opposite.

I'm not fasting and then only eating 1200 calories though. I'm eating the exact same amount of food as I would when I'm not fasting, just within a 6 hour eating window (and sometimes I do 8, but never longer than that).

There really is no reason to even do that though. Its actually much beat to eat several small meals through out the day.

Its better to spread it out and let it break down the fat/etc through out the day. This way, which its broken down the stuff you don't really want to hold on to, its just going to start breaking down muscle to support its self.
