From the blog post, it looks like it started as a fan project, and Capcom said "go, run with it, this is awesome!"
Years ago I would say "Capcom suck" but man Capcom know how to deal with their fans. They're awesome.

*edit* So basicly Capcom still hasn't done anything with Mega Man and is now promoting Fanmade games because they are too busy making Ultimate Super Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Arcade Edition... ya... pretty shitty...

Looks cool, though I think it's pretty funny that Capcom's too lazy on the 25th anniversary to even bother making their own game. (That other thing they showed a few weeks ago isn't a "game")

You nailed it, Mari. SE should follow Capcom's lead. It could only be an improvement.
Don't think people are actually upset they're getting a free game, but rather just reiterating that thinking Capcom's changed their "whip megaman's rotting corpse" stance would be naive since all they really did was take one of the many, many fan-made games and endorsed it.
They've stated details will be coming through interviews but from the sound of what I've read none of the actual core game was developed by capcom at all.

You nailed it, Mari. SE should follow Capcom's lead. It could only be an improvement.
Problem with this is FFXII to FFXIII. People complained about FFXII saying it was too free roam, etc. etc. etc. so SE Makes FFXIII which is the polar oppisite. If a video game campany listens to "fans" they will ussally only hear from the loudest most outspoken people. Not the majority of the gaming community.
