Weapon Skill Quests (breaking Latent)

just a quick question. and yes, ive searched for "solo skillchain points latent" and read though the first 4 pages of results with no luck. any ways, wanting to get Asuran fists for monk. i know you get 1 point per WS, but what if i self skill-chain? Example: Backhand blow >> one inch punch is gravitation. do i get 2 points (one each ws), or 4 points (1 for opening, 3 for closing a tier 2 SC)? Its been a LONG time since ive done these quests (pre-cap change) and im a bit confused. any/all help is greatly appreciated.

Edit: are you POSITIVE Seh? I've done a ton of latents (windslicer says hi) and there is no way in hell I actually did 11000 WSs. I solo SC'ed a ton.

There aint no way in hell I did 11000 solo WSs lol. I did 99% of all of my WS trials solo, and I have like 8 WSNM, and quite a few mythic WSs unlocked.

One point per weaponskill that doesn't skillchain or closes a level 1 skillchain. Three points for a weaponskill that closes a level 2 skillchain. Five points for a weaponskill that closes a level 3 skillchain.

In your example of "Backhand blow >> one inch punch is gravitation", That would be 1 point for Backhand Blow + 3 points for closing Gravitation(a level 2 skillchain). You would have earned 4 points doing that.

Aye, its 4 (or at least not just 2). Only self Scs that Do not count are ones created from things like Konzen-ittai and Chain Affinity.

Uh maybe it was about blu then, cause when back then I was doing it I remember reading this big bold line screaming "YOU CAN'T GET POINTS FROM CLOSING YOUR OWN SKILLCHAINZ!!!!!!!!11"

i know CA on BLU and flourish on DNC dont count. just wasnt sure if you spammed standard ws

This is incorrect. You get points from the WS you use in a BLU self-skillchain, it just depends if you open or close with WS. You obviously don't get points for the spell.

Did something change? I could have sworn I got points when I did sword ages ago on BLU.

Flourish/Konzen-Ittai does work, actually. The reason CA doesn't is because you have to close the skillchain with a weaponskill and not with a spell.
