Haven't done any cheating since GBA games, and it was only for those legendaries that you can't get within the actual game itself.
That all said, at first I read the 8GB -> 32GB and charging station upgrade as being a $150 leap in cost, and almost falcon punched a hole in my monitor.

O, right. Still, I don't see why you'd get basic, unless you literally cannot get premium.
I'll be holding off until some more games get released probably and know more about specifics on everything.

idk why basic is even an option
though to be fair, the advanced should be basic and advanced should actually be advanced

IIRC the last stadium didn't allow 2v2 battles using 6 pokemon each, that was a step backward from the Ruby/Sapphire edition. They really need to put a better effort in their online battle option, and I'm not sure about the story. Collecting outfits was kinda meh. I did like collecting different arenas.

Just some small notes as more information is released, the GamePads will not be sold separately, it looks like if you want a second one, you have to buy a second Wii U. So don't break it. Also, games will retail at $60, no surprise there.

Also, games will retail at $60, no surprise there. Just another thing to throw in there, Wii U WILL NOT support more then 1 Gamepad at launch and chances are will only in very rare instances. So don't factor the price of another controller into the console, cause it's highly unlikely that you will ever need a second.

Also
the Pack in game 'Nintendo Land' WILL NOT be coming in the 299.99 version, only in the 349.99 one
but still, a mini game compilation, plastic wedges *a stand* black finish and a larger internal flash for 50 dollars more? thats still a hard sell...

You can still play with a Wii mote, the only reason this is odd is because they showcased playing with 2 Gamepads at E3. What was the point of that I wonder.
By Heimdel 2012-09-13 18:41:27
They do not understand xboxs did the same thing that the user base will not care about 8g we want like 120+ to begin with if we can. That is why people modded there ps3 to hold 800g.
Quote: including Bayonetta 2 Great there were not mean before but i do not understand why they are putting this out only for wii u they can go xbox360 if they want or wait till xboxs puts out the new one and go both or wait for xboxs and ps3 then do all 3 i do not understand.
Well with that amount it will most likely be using ram or a kind of SSD what would be a lot harder to upgrade unless they use standard PC versions for it.

i'll be buying the basic, since the only thing i'm going to use it for is the new super smash bro's (and since i already have to shell out an extra $50~100 or more for a pro controller or 2.)
*** you nintendo.

It is
Quote: The Nintendo Wii U may only have 8 to 32GB of internal memory, but the company's taking a decidedly open approach to expanding that memory: add your own. "You can plug in a full-on three terabyte hard drive if you want. I'll love you as a digital consumer," Nintendo America CEO and president Reggie Fils-Aime told us during a post-press conference investor Q&A. Much like Sony's PlayStation 3, the Wii U allows for expansion of memory via USB, whether that memory be Flash or otherwise. Fils-Aime explained that, with the continuously dropping price of memory, there was little reason to offer pricing for the Wii U -- available in $300 and $350 -- tied to an evolving hardware model.
"The reason we did it that way is that the cost of that type of storage memory is plummeting. What we didn't want to do is tie a profit model to something that's gonna rapidly decline over time. We'll let the consumer buy as much as they want, as cheaply as they want," Fils-Aime said.

Say what you want about Nintendo, but they have always cared about their fans. hell you can still call the 800 number on the back of an SNES or an NES and get help.
I pre-order mine today at around 11:30 est and was the first one to do so at GameStop so i'll be getting one on day of launch for sure.

Pretty much why I stopped caring about any special event worldwide regarding pokémon. While OU tier is interesting, I don't get the point of making pokémons that are immediately banned and offer absolutely nothing to the metagame. Waste of time and energy.
As for the Wii U, I wasn't really sold until I saw this Shenmue 3 rumor. I'll buy one on release that's for sure, it's not that expensive and the thought of a possible Shenmue 3 is just... *drool*

Nintendo does what people ask for (HD, a Network like PSN, Live, 3rd party support) and I still see a lot of people complain. (not here, other places)

KH3 on Wii U is still a rumour afaik and not even the rumours indicate that it won't be available on the PS3.

still not quite sure why I should be excited for the wiiu... the system itself doesnt sound that amazing to me. The N64 was pretty much the last console Nintendo tried to claim the technological edge with, and they screwed that one up by choosing an outdated media format. Since then, raw computing power has been Sony's thing, so if you're looking for specs to impress you, you're clearly in the wrong camp.
I see the Wii U more accurately as the Wii 1.5. It might be a full generation ahead of its predecessor, but compared to the competition it's basically just stepping up to the line.
Which is completely fine. HD, current generation graphics, 3rd party support that refused to develop due to lack thereof; these are what the Wii has been sorely missing, and now it finally has. It's a Nintendo console with everything you'd hope a console to have. What's not to get excited about?

To be fair that HDD is a poor attempt to give people what they want. It'll fill up very quickly.

New Nintendo system means new Super Smash Bros. Hate to say it, but I'll reserve my SSB excitement for when I see proof that it'll be worth buying.
So Nintendo has finally released its launch information for Wii U.
Gamespot Link - (linking gamespot because I'm tired of IGN's ads and embedded videos)
Highlights ~ 2 versions, Basic ($299) and Premium ($350) to be released Nov. 18 in NA, Nov 30th in Europe, Dec 8th in Japan.
Basic version - White console, 8 GB, HDMI cable, Gamepad, Sensor Bar
Premium - Black console, 32 GB, HDMI, Sensor Bar, Gamepad, Charger + Stand, Nintendo Network Premium Subscription (online service), Nintendoland (game)
Launch Titles - New Mario, ZombiU, Rayman, Mass Effect 3, FIFA 13, CoD: BO2, NintendoLand. Nintendo also confirmed around 50 games will be releasing for the console between launch date and March, including Bayonetta 2, which will be a Wii U exclusive. Games will retail at $60. Gamepads are not sold separately.
Most surprising thing to me is the basic version only has a 8 GB HD.
Discuss~
