New Job: Rune Fencer
this game sounds too complex for my small brain
I have double melds already, but with crown+boots, I can swap my melded hands to +STR/Attack
materia system needs a revamp... 24% success on a double meld is BS when i see some people with trip/quad/5 melds ><. It's insane luck
Did you actually check the materia? They probably used crap materia to get the 5 meld achievement and I really doubt it's useful stats.
I know it would be more optimal, but I'm trying not to fall in the same trap in XI, because it made me miserable :(
As long as I'm gearing correctly I'm not going to stress over having perfect gear again. Yeah i'm not in a rush for it, but when I get crown+boots, the double meld will be easy.
yeah the 5 meld isn't good stuff, but i've seen a ton of trip enmity+s belts/swords, that equaled like +45 each piece.
triples aren't impossible. gradd has a few triples.
he said he bought his. point being it's like what, a 19% success rate at most, on +1 stuff? (we're massively derailing this thread and i'm sorry lol)

It's insane luck Gil is honestly so easy to come by in this game, that you can just buy the materia'd gear other people make. I literally will just like spend a week making gil, then buy everything I want after I finish a job. Like these: Was only 8mil but can make 8mil in no time flat. Spent 3mil today trying to make a body tho... think ill just stick to buying stuff others make XD yeah, but triples are still kinda reasonably obtainable. I don't expect more than doubles though on someone, singles are pretty mandatory if it's better than something else, like a melded pair of gloves over AF or something.
At least we're not QQing about RDM though. So does Blue mage, Rune fencer is a better version.
14 is good because no BLU in it. If I wanted to play an awful job, I'd just play RDM. Red is a better color anyways.

Draylo is a nerd and he has dorito farts.

The concept to this new class looks interesting, I knew it was going to be a magical defense tank class, it would've just been dumb if they made it another DD. I"m really looking forward to how this will play out when it's released. The Rune Fencer shows that they want to give each job it's own definition. Since you basically have an evasion tank NIN and a defensive tank PLD with some magical defense, but now they added a tank which focuses more on magical defense, I can only imagine how dynamic it'll be. There's so much potential with this new job and it's such a pain that they have plans to release two jobs that I'd really want to get to 99. Though these aren't jobs I'd want to grind to 99 but actually enjoy and learn how to play them from 1-99. That's why I kinda wish the expansion offers some forced 1-99 experience again to amplify the sense of exploring the unknown. With those in mind though it'll be interesting to see how other jobs are tweaked such as RDM, since now this class could be considered the DD RDM in a sense, now RDM can focus on being what it's suppose to be an enfeebler mainly. I understand lot of people seem worried about RDM but I honestly feel like these two jobs were created to fill the barrier between what people wanted RDM to be. Time will tell though, these months are gonna be a pain waiting for this boxed expansion to be released can't wait to see more details on everything XD. You are not only offtopic thread with XIV trashtalk but you also doing it in topic with very important fresh info. You have XIV forum so please go there. I dont give a ***your forum is not that populated because I see only you three spamming.
Too much crying and speculation.
But I will say I am glad to see what is in probability another great-sword specialist. That combined with a new category of magic, makes for a pretty exciting experience on the horizon. It really doesnt look like great sword but normal sword. Those drawing in first topic are mangaish and everything in manga is bigger. In game AF clothes really dont fit 2hander. |
