New Job: Rune Fencer
I think the consensus is Rune Knight would have been a far better choice for a name lol.

Geomancer will have up to Tier 4 nukes, apparently and we already have too many melee DD. Updated OP a bit, I'll add more later.

I know a lot of people are saying things like well GEO is taking RDM's thunder and RNR FEN RUN is taking RDM's lightning but think of it like this. People wanted RDM to have things that GEO is going to have and people wanted RDM to have a DD offensive magic class like Rune Fencer but you can't just add things to a job and overpower it.
So rather then do that they made 2 jobs which allow players to play the way they want to play which is melee RDM and whatever GEO is stealing from RDM. By doing this they can focus on making RDM what they want it to be rather then develop it as some crazy DD hybrid front line back line support enfeeble magic damage dealing uber healing tank jobs lol. What exactly do you think they want RDM to be?

I'm a bit glad they're finally releasing this sort of thing and I am looking forward to it but... I'm definitely not happy about the fact that I'll be seeing 99 GEO or MYS in full Teal within 2 days after release day.
Stead of fixing jobs and what not lets just make new ones. Rdm has no play in game pretty much and they just make a new jobs to replace other jobs.
Rdm only job in FFXI now : Chainspell stun :(
No Morpher yet...i am mass dissapoint :| but atleast everyone gets a new mage/DD job set to never use :|

I really like the concept of Runic Knight (sorry, Fencer sounds stupid. I'll refer to it as Knight). The idea of how it works and what it's meant to do is very interesting to me and sounds like a lot of fun... in concept.
In practice, unless the content they bring out is groundbreaking or they have untold plans of adjusting the enmity system, this game does not support tank classes. Hopefully they manage to make it useful while being fun to play, because it really sounds like my second BLU. Change provoke and other enmity tools to raise the enmity cap over the limit by x and have x decay by y points per second. Wow i should work for SE.
