Blue magic capped as far as skilling can take me, finished sword trials 150-155 so no more lottery NMs, and learned all yellow proc spells except Mind Blast. Mysticmaker Profblix was just chilling when I went down to learn Maelstrom, 1/1 moldy earring.

short question plz. Is a Tizona worth it get, if i have a 90 Almace?
I mean i play the game for more than 4 years, me 2 times for short time because i didnt Know wut to Do and got borred. I came back with the goal the get a empy and then quit ;) Of course i cant by beeing serious to myself and c that im addicted, so i want a new goal i can try to reach though to plan to get a tizona is kind of reaaal far goal. Wut i want to know is if it is worth it to get the tizona to, lets say 90, and may be 95.... Btw that u could imagine how mich work it will be for, i dont have any Kings killed, nor capt rank....
I ask myself, and thought, just tea to get almace to 95 and forget that Tizona.... But idk... If u ppl say Tizona 90 or 95 is muuuch Vetter than a almace 95 i would know wut to Do.

Always wondered about Tizona. I think Proth said it was amazing, but I was toying with it on the test server and I'm not convinced. I guess the DoT with AM3 is supposed to be good but Requiescat is meh even if you can spam it, also doesn't SC as nicely with our spells as CDC. The proc rate on the MP thing was lower than I expected as well, but then again I only toyed with it for about 15minutes before I got bored. Wonder how the AM3 fares when you add in all the TA/QA/DA from gear/traits also.

Why would you be using RCat?
Wouldn't Expiacion be better since 30% DMG increase?
Right now, Tizona is about as useful as a Nagi. It's got some niche uses in VW where you can keep up AM3, but other than that it's just mostly a showoff piece.
The quest requirements will take you a while but with the recent change to einherjar, I don't think that'll be a problem anymore.
As far as if it's worth making, if BLU is your absolute favourite job, if you already have the best gear(hexed -1s, 99Almace, etc) and/or have the gil flow (high level craft, etc) then by all means go for it.

Isn't Expacion only a 2 hit? Doubt that even with the 30% increase it would be very good, it's what a 1.5 fTP and 2 hits? It's like a slightly stronger Savage Blade.
Well the 1hander adjustment might make it better but then almace would still be a lot better. If you have almace I wouldnt bother with Tizona, make a different one.
99 Almace seems like a better deal. It's cheaper, gives you awesome burst damage utility with CDC>Amorphic, self chains with itself for light and can be used on RDM and PLD as well. Also it looks cooler, though doesn't fit BLU's 'theme' it does however match AF3 when Idle.
You can still do Requiescat-->Quadratic for Darkness with Tizona, so that particular aspect isn't a major breaking point for Tizona vs Almace.
Personally though, I often SC with Entropy/Catastrophe and Victory Smite, making CDC's SC properties quite a bit better in groups.
