The Beast Within -- A Guide to Blue Mage
make a simulacrum, go in, interact with book, summon some mooks and go off and find eles, floor 1 mobs shouldnt be able to kill your guys unless its a level 5 body i think, and your guys cant kill the enemy fort which clears the floor, so its 15~1hr of you being able to run around spell farming

The set posted above is pretty standard, only occultation missing. Didn't do the math but just from eyeballing I'd suspect the issue somewhere at Paralyzing Triad, Sinker Drill or Anvil Lightning. In my experience I have to decide for 1 or 2 of those if I go with a similar spell set. Don't know what you're trying to do but since chant du cygne droped in importance I only find myself using it to close double light in solo chains so I'd drop sinker drill first. Anvil lightning is only worth to consider in spell setups or if you really need that extra tier of acc bonus. I mostly find myself solo SCing so paralyzing triad is currently my highest priority of those spells listed. However, with high augmented nyame and other gear that extra skillchain damage maybe goes to waste, haven't looked into it. Btw these spells are also among the first I consider to drop in favor of utility if necessary like occultation, winds of promyvion, white wind, barrier tusk, saline coat... That spell set needs 78 points in total so you have some extra spells set some where. I'm not setting anything else. I'll check again later.

It's impossible to lack the appropriate merits unless you've literally bought the account and know nothing about BLU. There's nothing else to buy besides Assimilation/diffusion 5. What's worse is you highlighted being ML30 BLU, as if that has any impact on how many spells you can set.

Sure. So you mastered BLU, got 30 MLs, but never figure out how to fit the max DPS spell set in? So what spell was it? Occultation? Dream Flower? Lol
Edit: totally trolling, enjoy your weekend It was Quad Continuum.
Enjoy your weekend. Sorry but I don't play new jobs until ML30. This is how I roll. Hello, how big is the "theoretical" difference beetween having 0DW (11DW needed) and actually having 11DW regarding tp gain ? I tried playin with both, i dont see a difference in a practical way. Note that it's with DW3,over gear haste cap and magic haste cap
Set2 is DW capped but i lose a small 6 stp. Set 1 0DW(11DW needed) Code ammo="Coiste Bodhar", head="Malignance Chapeau", body="Gleti's Cuirass", hands="Adhemar Wrist. +1", legs="Malignance Tights", feet="Malignance Boots", neck="Mirage Stole +1", waist="Kentarch Belt +1", left_ear="Telos Earring", right_ear="Hashishin Earring +1", left_ring="Chirich Ring", right_ring="Ilabrat Ring", back="Null Shawl", Set 2 11DW Code ammo="Coiste Bodhar", head="Malignance Chapeau", body="Gleti's Cuirass", hands="Adhemar Wrist. +1", legs="Malignance Tights", feet="Malignance Boots", neck="Mirage Stole +1", waist="Reiki Yotai", left_ear="Eabani Earring", right_ear="Hashishin Earring +1", left_ring="Chirich Ring", right_ring="Ilabrat Ring", back="Null Shawl", I also tried this set which is 25.3 gear haste but then require 12DW (from what GearInfo show) Code ammo="Coiste Bodhar", head="Malignance Chapeau", body="Gleti's Cuirass", hands="Malignance Glove", legs="Malignance Tights", feet="Malignance Boots", neck="Mirage Stole +1", waist="Reiki Yotai", left_ear="Suppanomimi", right_ear="Hashishin Earring +1", left_ring="Chirich Ring", right_ring="Ilabrat Ring", back="Null Shawl", Minor, but not really that minor, nitpick but it's not a "theoretical" difference, it's an actual, factual, provable difference.
DW3, capped magic haste and capped equip haste for Tizona+TP Bonus sword = 111 delay The same, but with DW3+11 DW in gear = 95 delay The set with DW is about 14% faster. You can't easily eyeball that small a delay reduction. That's what parsers are for.
Is his question whether he can see it or not or whether or not it results in faster TP or not?

Tbh idk which one to choose. 1 delay is roughly 1/60 of a second. Can you tell the difference between 1.58 seconds and 1.85 seconds, with your eyes? While watching auto-attack animations? IDK, I can't...but it adds up Has anybody tested if 650, 700 and 750 Blu Skill give respectively 13, 14 and 15 shadows for Occultation?
I'm wondering if there's a cap at 600 or not. There's currently no cap to the amount of shadows. It still increments every 50
EDIT: That being said, you can easily hit 650 and wear better gear in your midcast, it wont make much of a diff That's what I'm doing atm, but I honestly never went and "counted" if my shadows really reach 13 or not :-D
I have what must be a numb question but I'm really confused..
From searching this thread the consensus seems to be that, with the 1200JP gift, setting Delta thrust + Barbed Crescent = DW3. How? Both spells are worth 4 points. The points per tier is 8. So they get you DW1, then the 1200 gift, 'Increases job traits gained from equipped blue magic by 1', would be DW1+1=2? What have I misunderstood? Look at the job points again. You get that bonus at 100 and a second at 1200.
