First off, is there a WS limit on how much damage you can do on it?

Also let me give you my current setup:

Vorpal Blade

Average is about 1800 outside of Abyssea.
Inside Abyssea with NO Atmas on: 1300

Requiescat

Average dmg is about 1600 outside of Abyssea
Inside Abyssea with NO Atmas on: 1300

Any suggestions on gear to make these WS' stronger?
Thanks in advance.

PLD has A+ sword skill but suffers from lack of attack. The job has no native attack traits, and subbing /DNC or /NIN does nothing to help.

Subbing /WAR and using Berserk/Aggressor will help with damage, but that might not be your preference.

Centaurus Earring (Attack+10) instead of Suppanomimi for WS macro for starters. Drop the Soil Belt from your Requiescat macro and use Anguinus.

You eating Red Curry? Your Shikargars the STR path swords? Merit Requiescat 5/5 yet? These are additional factors which will affect your damage.

Of course, best option for strictly DD is Mog House/Job Change or get an Almace for fodder mobs in Abyssea. PLD used to be my main job back at 75 cap, but it's really just not all that useful anymore for anything but Voidwatch. Even then, it's dropped from favor on most of the lower tier fights as well.

Don't do this. The full 1 point fTP boost from the elemental belt is essential. You're not even getting the full 15 attack from an Anguinus belt due to Requiescat's native attack penalty.

You sure about that?

Is what I use.

You think Soil Belt would beat Anguinus?
fTP doesn't carry to all hits like some of the other new WS, so elemental belts are pretty bad for it.

Should have checked BG Wiki. Looks like you were involved in some of the testing.

http://wiki.bluegartr.com/bg/Requiescat

While you're so quick to jump on this thread to correct an incorrect statement, why not help the man and point out what he needs to do in order to max out the damage on these WS?

There's got to be some better pants and feet than what he's equipping, right?

Yes but I don't know how readily attainable Phorcys is for him. Ogier Breeches would be an improvement right away. Feet I have nfc, I'm not very well versed in PLD gear. Dillaram's sollerets would be far better than jingjang, don't know about anything better than those.

Here's a pretty decent setup from the looks of it. I do think Centaurus is the better option over the Neptune's Pearl price wise.

How comparable is 4 MND to 10 attack on this WS?

The attack is reduced by the attack penalty, so that's slightly devalued that way. Neptune's is considerably better than Centaurus, as is Aqua, there is absolutely no difference in most circumstances between Aqua and Neptune's tbh.

You're honestly best off with Moonshade earring though. It isn't difficult to get.

Thanks for all your feedback!
Also I was wondering, is there by a chance some legs/feet gear almost equivalent to the ones listed but obtained -outside- of Voidwatch?

(referring to the set there)

The Shikargars x2 are STR based ones
And Requiescat is merited 5/5
Haven't tried it with food just yet, but will look into it though!

Stupid question but is the -Atk% applied before or after gear? If it's after gear is it after Food or berserk as well?

Later found to be otherwise. Presumably ninja'd in, not that I'm complaining.

More than likely in the same position as Berserk, LR, and Phorcys Korazin. That would put it before food.

Only things I can think of are teal feet and morrigan's for "easy to get" kind of stuff. Far inferior but work.

As for attack order:

base +/- static additions * multipliers + food

Requiescat's attack penalty is a multiplier.
