With that being said, make sure your drivers are updated.
New drivers aren't always good for FFXI though

People buy Radeon cards? :P I use an ATI Radeon X1200 series with a catalyst control and it works great. My screen used to freeze, but had nothing to do with that at all. It was thermal.
Well didnt work still freezing, seems to do it a lot less now with it like this though,
I use Radeon cause they cheap :P And i never had an issue with them before i was runnin this Same Video card on my last computer (transfered it to this one)

RAM CPU(Type, Speed and Cores) Storage (RPM or SSD) Voltage of your Power supply (I'm thinking your video card is drawing too much power from it, causing your game to take a ***) We need more information, or you aren't going to get anywhere. Only things i know about this thing is that it is using a 600W PSU atm, i got it to try and replace this Video card with a Better one, that doesnt even work, nevr put it back to the weaker PSU
have you checked if your windower plugins and resources are up to date? you should check their forums and see what plugins are borked and comment them out of your init.txt. Resources not up to date can cause problems too because windower wont reconize new spells or gear(I think I have read about that crashing/freezing peoples stuff but its something to check into).
yeah i checked that, and did a complete fresh installof windower also.
Can try going into device manager through your control panel and disabling your infrared tranciever under Human Interface Devices.
Worked for me for a similar problem in the past.
