Carabosse Farm

Hey just some quick questions because I havent found much on doing Carabosse at99 now, but my question is I'm sitting on the 50Carabosse gems trial and since I dont have any real red proc jobs atm I was curious what the best way to farm the KIs for carabosse?

Either get a friend with red procs to help you out or go on whichever of your jobs has the most red procs and tough it out. These are your only options.

For both Cara KIs I'd say NIN/WAR > WAR/NINorDNC (/NIN gets 1 more proc if you have the gsmithing katana > DNC/WAR would be ideal order for red proc jobs, if your soloing.

If you have none of these (I guess you don't) then any job /war will get a number of procs. Just be sure to have temp torque or headband for that extra staff proc and a pitchfork for raiden.

Just bring all the temp items u can purchase potion1/2 elixerx2 healing powder. When your doing LTL make sure you're on a job that can stun or deal enough dmg fast enough to interrupt it during its cast.

Baba is easy just restock your potions if it wants to be annoying with spells and not giving hint or something.

Kill Cara using BST if solo using Yuly.

It seems you have not thought this out much. Carabosee is not that bad and the KI drops a lot even when u dont proc. You can kill it on bst like they said. But what about Sobek? You dont have the jobs to solo so you will need to get help and if you can get help than they can surley help proc on carra and sobek as well.

My advice is to suck it up and level nin to 99. You have it at 50 and heck you can get in a Fc party, people shout for those all the time. 1-2 days to get nin lvld and a day or 2 to skill up procs.

I do Carabosse on bst on a regular basis for one of my trials. The KIs from LTL and BY drop pretty frequently without procs. Often times I'll go 1/1 or 1/2, never taking longer than 1/3. It does usually take a little longer that if you were going in on something with procs, but you save yourself the time of warping back to change jobs. On /dnc you can use Violent Flourish to stun the bad stuff (mainly Cyclonic Torrent/Turmoil and Aeroga III) and the extra damage helps it go down faster. Of course, if you start to take too much damage, just back off to heal yourself before going back in. With DG/RR/Vicissitude, Yuly never even needs a reward.

bst cant use dagger?

Not with war sub.

bst can use dagger naturally, just need nin sub or dnc sub for cyclone/energy drain. But the best way to farm all emps by yourself is get on your bst with a nin mule for procs. Having blm on your mule is nice for +2 and seals so that way you don't have to depend on people/shouting

It seems YOU did not think your post out enough. Sobek isn't cara path it is croin. Which is very easy on bst.

I did all of my gems as bst/war. Used RR/MC/VV for the KI farming and straight damage atmas for Carabosse for speedier kills (this will easily negate her cure spam). The little damage Yuly takes is taken care of by the occasional Reward.

Just have to be careful to not eat it from AOEs since you have no way to heal other than temps. Just run out after Summer and Spring Breeze and pray to black jesus she doesnt Winter Breeze>ga3 (even though you should survive it).

CC is gonna take a bit longer since I don't wanna try that fight without DG. Plus, its not too wise to help melee in that one, either.

I have more trouble with getting the KIs for CC than with the actual fight.

How is that horrible? instead nin/war just go war/nin, and the bst can go /thf, it's not like you're going to melee all those nms anyways... with bst but let the pet do all the job

I killed all my Caras and CCs with GH RR and MC using Falcorr for CC. You definitely do not need Ducal for either.
