I finally, after too many years, finished CoP, and I went to move on to Storms of Fate so I can finish up everything. The problem is I can't seem to trigger the cutscene with Esha'ntarl, and I was wondering if anyone else had a similar issue (I'm on Odin, if that makes any degree of difference). So far I've done the following:

*Got the Distant Worlds cutscene in Lufaise Meadows last Thursday, so a conquest tally has passed.
*Said goodbye to all the CoP cast of crew via cutscene
*Picked up my Rajas ring
*My title is currently Banisher of Emptiness

*Tried running around and through the palace at various trajectories hoping I was missing a spot.
*Tried talking to the audience chamber door, but the guards were like "We don't let your kind in here"

Any suggestions on why this might not work? From the description I thought once I got the cutscene with the song in Lufaise, I was done with everything and just had to go get the quest in Jeuno.

I will try again when I get home tonight, I'm just very confused why it's not working and was wondering if maybe there was some tiny requirement that I had missed.

i think your missing this:

Head to Tavnazian Safehold, and check the Walnut Door at (K-7) of the upper floor (North) for a cutscene.
Head to Lufaise Meadows and approach the Blueblade Fell at (J-6) for the final full-screen cutscene, during which the song Distant Worlds (Full Vocal) will play.

There are hordes of Rocs called Abraxas' above level 85+ on the way to the Fell, so some kind of a source for Invisibility is highly recommended.
Sneak is also recommended prior to viewing the cutscene, for a party of around level 80 fomor spawn at Blueblade Fell during nighttime.

After the cutscene, the title Banisher of Emptiness will be awarded and the quest Storms of Fate will become available.
Clearing this mission will allow you to obtain the Atma of the Banisher from an Atma Fabricant in Abyssea.

i don't think this step is needed tho, but you need all sky missions completed as well

Check your quest log, not missions, and see if you've already started it.

I would wager a guess that you haven't finished Zilart missions.

You just need to finish CoP to trigger Storms of Fate. You will need to finish both to start Shadows of the Departed, after ZM Awakening.
