alexandrite drop rate should stay like it is atm, or else every single noob will have a mythic, just like relic/emps collectors
Latifah said: » alexandrite drop rate should stay like it is atm, or else every single noob will have a mythic, just like relic/emps collectors I understand your concern on some level. Old FFXI had the mentality of "this guy has good gear so he must be good" and a good portion of people still retain that way of thinking. I recommend that you strive to differentiate yourself from other players who have equal, or better gear, with playstyle. I assure you that you'll be remembered more for doing a good job, than you will for having "shiny stuff" (that is of course, unless you pull the "shiny gear who doesnt know wtf theyre doing"..... then youll be remembered forever). I promise you that while the feeling of accomplishment for having obtained a personal milestone shouldn't be diminished, NOTHING beats the sense of pride at out-performing someone with better tools. SE wants people to play their content. Well, people really aren't doing salvage anymore since the gear is outdated. They NEED to make the augments to salvage gear substantial. This will make people want to go back into salvage to get the "base" level gear to augment. Which will increase Alex bazaar supply again.
Also, I personally liked the "choose your 2 augments" thing that SE did for those mission equips. I think they should do something like that again but make sure those possible augments are substantial. gonna be a 35 + 10 alex each aug!
where do you find all these posts at Kalila? I check the Dev trackers every morning, and then I always see you posting something from them that i never found.

![]() There isn't any good reason why static augments can't be more powerful than random augments considering they have control of how difficult it is to obtain these augments. They can also provide us with the same customization of Synergy augments by providing us with a pool of augments to pick from like the armor from the mini-expansions.
I'm sure Alchemy will get ***all

This is so true, but sometimes it's tough. I've been trying not to check very many people, I pretty much only play with the same people that I like and respect, and I try to in general not pay attention to most other people. Even then, though, I sometimes see the stuff the bums me out. Works in general though! They can also provide us with the same customization of Synergy augments by providing us with a pool of augments to pick from like the armor from the mini-expansions. There's a perfectly logical reason. If they don't give us monotonous crafting grinds for gear and hours of farming on old content, it will become glaringly obvious how little content they actually put out. If they can keep the hampsters running on the wheels, they don't have to add more tubes to run in. At least we have "multiple choice OP warps" and "sneak and invis scrolls from npc". By "reason" I meant "good reason". :P
Synergy drives me nuts. I can't stand it. The normal synth thing is so easy-- get your mats, get your crystal, and off you go. The synergy thing seems really complicated for how .. uncomplicated? it should be. >.> Get your mats, get some fuel which is spelled fewell or whatever, adjust rates for twelve different elements, poke this lever and that one, and don't forget to slap the machine, and if you don't do it all in time have fun getting blown up! ._. I really need to stop resisting it and just get off my hairy arse and level it though. Resistance, it's futile.
Synthing is easy, just boring. I have woodworking to 100 and have been planning to get all my sub-crafts up (I only have a couple of those to 60) so I'll never be done with synthing. Never ever. ;; On the other hand, I'm excited to see new synthable stuff soon. :D Maybe they'll add new furniture! My mog always needs new furniture. And I'm quite happy that ending a contract now won't lose all your guild points. That's a really nice change, there. Quote: just get off my hairy arse Quote: hairy arse I will never see you in the same light when you post RL pics. Nooo! The pain was almost over....
I have Bonecraft 100, all other crafts capped at 60. Fishing is at 98, two levels away from everything being done forever. This is how I feel atm... ![]() NUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Just got all my subs up finally after 7 years of playing...GDI SE. It doesn't specifically include fishing in this, but I'm hopeful that it includes everything. I don't even know what my break rate would be like on Hakuryu with that much skill.
I was working on some crafting and fishing to keep the ball rolling while my play time is limited (baby).
I felt there was a sense of accomplishment in getting my sub-crafts up but now that cap is going to 70 and will inevitably go higher I've completely lost interest. Sub-crafts have always been somewhere between a necessary evil and a useful bonus. Now they seem like an unabashed chore. I don't know how anyone could have a problem with this adjustment. If you don't like it, don't do it. It's funny cause people would rather crafting stay how it is now, but most crafts are completely useless.
It's does look like fishing will be getting the cap raised too. If you look at the key items on this page: http://juliandev.com/ffxi/TEST2012-03-02/KeyItems.txt You can see all the crafts have a key item with a similar name, fishing has a different name style, but it looks to be the same type of key item. It has been nice being 100 fishing, but I'm willing to put up with hell to get that 10 extra skill. It's just the mithra tail thing I have going on in-game. xD Awesome, I haven't made a Nashmau earring for my mule cause im too lazy to do the synergy quest! Not losing GP when you swap to a diff guild contract is nice.
