Returning To Ffxi Via Xbox360

I mean my old desktop had some glitches with lag, but never that bad and I only noticed side-by-side with another system.

not sure if my laptop does it because I haven't dualboxed with another system in ages.

it was also more of an annoyance and minor, nothing that prevented actual play.

this lag just sounds awful, like the lag I used to experience when bittorrent was running and I was leveling thf...

(actually managed to time it right with a several second lag but still...)

i heard for windower you have to link it to ffxi somehow lol

I don't know what you've heard, but all you do is download windower and install it. Obviously, there's more to how windower works than that, but it's not something a regular user needs to know.

As far as swapping the DVD drive out of my broken xbox goes, I could have possibly done that if I hadn't ripped the xbox into pieces, but my xbox breaking resulted in my switching back to PC. I wouldn't ever think of not playing FFXI on PC now. I couldn't think of having to have multiple macroes for the same gear set again.

ive played ffxi on 360 for years and never had any issues infact i find the ability to play in my livingroom with just a pad and wireless keyboard really easy and once you get used to the controler its honestly very easy to use, though i will say playing via pc does give players using apps a rather large advantage over everyone that doesent.

as for the id'd if you werent banned you will have no problems either restoring old char or making fresh one, if you were banned then its possible but difficult you would likely have to speak directly to SE (goodluck).

I deleted my character data once to rename my character. I used to the Character Reactivation Service to restore it, but I'm not sure if SE ever brought the Character Reactivation Service back online. Funny thing about renaming my character was, it was announced that my server was merging with Odin shortly after I had gone through that method of renaming my character. I could have just made a mule on Odin to force a name change instead of risking my character. My character took over a month to show up on the character reactivation service, so I thought at one point that the character was completely gone.

nope wasny banned just deleted EVERYTHING lol

Then you should be able to get your character back assuming the reactivation service is back up.


edit: Character Reactivation Service is in fact still down.
