Just a matter of time before Evandis sees this thread.

Forgive me if guffaw at this. If it did happen, deplorable. But there are people throwing moltav cocktails and bombing bus stops in the name of religion (if you think I'm harping on the middle east, think again - think Ireland for example. It's worldwide). Besides, if you are going to condem a group for the worst factions of them, let's start on someone that deserves it, shall we? "2 members removed for their own safety" "our book teaches us that homosexuality is a sin -- BLOODY LIAR" (still lol'ing that someone said "liar" to anothers belief system) As an agnostic, this disgusts me and has me sympothisizing with the sane Christians and all the ***they have to put up with. I'm still hung up--ohohohoho--on the fact that part of my penis was ripped off without my consent for a religious ceremony. I mean, what the ***? THAT ***IS NOT OKAY. Of course I blame them: but I also blame religious pressure making genital mutilation ubiquitous and renaming it to something less obvious so that people don't think about what's going on. Yeah if people are stupid enough to follow the religion for things like that it is their fault but it is still partly the religion's fault
Can someone find me an example of a LBGT person or group demonstrating against Christians, claiming there way is wrong?
I'm a pansexual that routinely tells people that religious ways are wrong. Does that count?
I mostly do it responsively, though. LOL

Take life slow, eat some tasty fruit, keep trucking along. Be happy when someone has strawberries for you. honestly made me lol
Is it to late to derail this thread into uncut vs. cut penis debate?... I think I missed the opening >.<

Granted, I doubt the former type exsists on this forum, but the latter definitely does. Silly article is silly. Lol it's always funny to me that on the one side they are telling the other side that they are wrong and then on the other side they come back and tell them that they in fact are wrong. Both sides preaching hate against each other and both believe they are right. I guess it just depends on what side you're on or if you're stuck somewhere in the middle suffering through these antics.
If you're unsure have a Dr. Pepper then.
Personally I try to avoid comments to theists like "Your religion is HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE" or "God is imaginary" because frankly it puts me on the same level as the theists that systematically root out and destroyed my predecessors - those who questioned or rejected belief.
What I do try to aim for is discussion, debate, questioning and an educational experience from speaking with theists. Make no mistake, there are many theists more intelligent than little old me but I like to hear the reasoning behind some of the beliefs held by these individuals and to question, question and question some more. The only way to really change things is to do things like this on a local level and to admit that you won't win over most minds. Sure, some people are close minded (or outright lunatics) because they often fear being honest about their practices (God is watching afterall) but let them fire the first volley, let them hang themselves with the nooses of manifested hatred they can't help but create and let them show those on the fence just how vile they can be when exorcised from the body of 'love, compassion and goodwill'. Lakshmi.Flavin said: » See you started off good there but couldn't stick the landing... If you mean the bit some people being lunatics, some people just are and there is no way around it. Those people will never be swayed and are best dealt with from a distance or ignored while more productive aims are chased elsewhere. What aims? Equality, charity and general goodwill to start. Of course, many of the lunatics are the ones that will seek you out and cause conflict because it's what they have been doing for centuries and this is exactly what you want them to do, reveal their true colors before the observing public. I know some people think it's cool and edgy to throw around statements like "your religion is ***", "lulz Islam" or whatever else comes off as inflammatory and provoking but where I feel the non-believing community can make the most impact is pushing back against those times that theists attempt to discriminate against their fellow American citizens and to expose the latent hatred for what it is. I've learned you can't argue with religious people
I've also learned that you can't argue with people who say things like "It puts you on the same level as them" or atheists who say x are stupid Leviathan.Draylo said: » Tyra Banks show I wonder what it's like to be that brainwashed and that insane. Words cannot express how tired I am of crazy *** going around vomiting their opinions/beliefs on others as if it is the absolute truth. Can we have a crazy people-burning ceremony? Perhaps even make a game of it like who can throw the psycho the farthest into the fire pit?
