You should have backed up the ones you just downloaded.
You probably will have to go through and delete the dat files you jsut replaced 1 by 1 and do a file check so you can download the new dat files.

I think it is nice but I don't think there is a way to have the old macro look on a wide resolution.
I'm sure people will complain enough that they will add an option to use the old one.
The new macro palettes don't take long to get used to. I did have to move my recast a lot further across though as it was laying over the palette.
