Idk, I'd rather sell all the plates and just put all that time and effort into a relic or mythic.

I can see it for 1 or 2 empys but idk. Just seems silly.

It may sound selfish of me but as someone who did a Daurdabla, I'd like to finish the trial but as it stands that is impossible through standard means thanks to the 50-car pileup SE forced on everyone because they felt Abyssea was too nice.

Thanks SE, penalizing everyone with a 225M-300M trial is definitely how you placate people who QQ'd about relics.

There is no way Voidwatch will get old... How many empyrians are out there? 1500 plates a empy... The main problem is that people can't all gather together for these events with all the right classes to proc properly all at one time.
No, the main problem is that most people don't care enough to obtain 1500 plates for what is already a functional weapon, let alone try to upgrade all their weapons.

One JP managed to finish (Almace 95 guuu~) within the first two weeks of the update by literally living at Qilin and buying everything he could off the PUGs.

I'm sure he was tired of having capped gil and just felt like burning it on something.

Plus, some leave their weapons at 85. Clearly not all empy holders are going to go after this trial or the one after it, as it stands only the rich or hard core players will be. Some mythics are the best weapons in the game but salvage died. Plus, it isn't that VW in general has to die, all that has to happen is those specific fights do even as they release new VW fights.

"For example, say each player gets 5 items. You have 5 items times 18 players and they can all trade freely. Now one player could collect 90 items. That's no good." The removal of the trading option was specifically in order to counter item hoarding. Every individual participating in the content has an equal chance to get items.

I'm sorry Dev's, but this is only half right, and the half wrong part is majorly wrong. Yes we have theoretically a higher chance of getting great items individually. Yes this counters item hoarding. But you are forcing the item hoarding solution upon us where as us getting things in a chest to begin with is effective enough.

You make it so we can't trade items, that's fine. You make it so we can't add items we ALREADY HAVE, into a treasure pool. This is also acceptible. But why do we get the same items in the chest if we already have the rare/ex item? A person in my linkshell got two Mekira Meikogais in 2 back to back fights. This alone upset our main tank so much he logged off right then and there. Not because he didn't get the item, its because he COULD have gotten it but it appeared in someone's box who already got it. In the previous fight no less.

The loot distribution is nearly perfect. But please add an add to treasure pool option or take out the rare/ex item if a player already has it. It's beyond insulting and beyond the "keep the player playing" aspect.

How is that honestly outrageous? You kill an NM, you don't get the drop, you don't get the drop. NMs have always been luck of the draw, no? At least they keep adding content 10yrs into the game's inception.

Doesn't seem to nullify the argument that r/ex dropping to people who already have and them alone makes any sense or has any use.

Totally not a voidwatch person so I'm not speaking out of experience~ but it just seems completely useless. No?

*Although the counter to this can easily be that it doesn't matter, because it doesn't matter.
I'm not one to complain too much... I static'd Salvage for years so I'm kind of numb to drop rates
but watching people time and time again say "I've gotta drop my <insert whatever item you're after>
to clear the chest" is fkd up. lol

I'm inclined to think the counter to this is that you really can just spam the fights over and over.
I'm not saying that makes it okay but its not a huge loss like when you'd get a goose egg from Kirin or whomever.

Edit for tired: I'm agreeing with the quoted from a VW's perspective.

Yea but... at least we were able to give the drops to people who needed them >.>;

I think each battle should earn you 1 point per tier the fight is, and after 300 points you can purchase one of the bodies or rare items.

i wonder what will they do with the pvp department on this game, is almost non-existent, ballista is no real pvp, very dead content that not even ppl from my almost never participate anymore(used to be the best ballista server) . they should do pvp scenarios (like many other mmos, pve content for this game and such

PVP in this game is unbalanced like all hell. That's why it's dead I think. At least it was the two or so times I've done it. Its not fun at all.

pvp on this game is very balanced compared to others mmos that i played, pvp is dead on ffxi because ballista is a fixed "event" , u cant rly pvp unless u reserve a space or wait 1 day or several hours to pvp , most of the time when you reserve a ballista slot it's taken already and you need to wait 1 hour to reserve another slot, that's so wrong and dull / antique, so ffxi doesn't really have pvp mode, it's just a very limited fixed game event

not to mention that you can only pvp based on caps.. thats so stupid, thats why is dead, no one goes to lvl cap 30 40 50 , not even 60 now or uncaped, most people that reserve ballista slots never go, making others to wait for that reserved slot to expire -_-

blu and mnk can be easy took down by a blm wearing full fast casting gear using petrify and bind, also by a rdm

pld can be taken down like mosquito with blu or rdm /melee sch or any job with /sch or rdm that can dispel (unless ochain pld), just need strategy

What does that have to do with just the Japanese players? No interest is no interest across the board. If there was enough demand for it, from any region, they would do updates to it... It sucks in this game, plain and simple, so they said "f-it" and just didn't update the content.
