Your Favorite/not So Favorite FFXI Zones.

Sea is one of my favorite areas.

Chasm is least favorite. Second least favorite is Windy.

When did you get sea? Recently?

Sea and zitah are my favorite.
Windy is my least favorite. I'd rather spend a day in attowah chasm.

Beaucedine, no contest. It's easy to navigate, there aren't any paths to remember (such as Yuhtunga) but in order to get from any two zone points you have to touch at least three corners of the *** map.

My least favorite zone is Sandy...*cough*

No, it's been a few years. Is that relevant?

I absolutely despised Yhutunga and Yhoator Jungles when I played. I had no favorite zone.

I wanted to know if the zone had time to sink in with you, anyone who did endgame content in sea would find it excruciatingly nauseating

Ah, I only did a couple EG events there. The rest of my time was soloing for obi mats, skilling up on the goldfish, and CoP.

Fav: Behemoth's Dominion, good fun
Least: Jeuno areas

I always Enjoyed the scenery in Lufaise/Misaerux

exp wise for favorite zone would be east ronfaure S but it used to be a lot of fun doing these colibri and ladybug parties around level 37 but was quite fast like a merit party. I liked all the zones in general but the least favorite one would have to be garliege Citadel

Least favorite zone would have to be Attowha chasm, Abyssea or non-abyssea version. Miasma that blocks paths and antlions that pop out of the ground if anything aggros you causing sneak to drop = really freaking annoying.

Favorites would include a lot of the CoP areas like Riverne, Mis coast, Lufaise meadows. Beautiful soundtracks or gorgeous scenery. A lot of the past zones are nice to play around in too.

Ro'Maeve (along with many of the Zilart areas) is my favorite. I think the visible horizon being filled with trees reminds me of the Pacific forests out west, and I always remember 2004-era Ro'Maeve as being the final stop on the ground before going up into sky. Honorable mention goes to Misareaux Coast / Lufaise Meadows for the breathtaking combination of music and scenery, but the areas themselves are a little too open-air for my tastes. I like the forests and jungles more.

Least favorite would have to be.. Dangruf Wadi? Nothing good has ever come from that place.

The Sanctuary of Zi'tah. Pso'Xja, and Norg rank among my favorites.

Tahrongi, La'Theine and Konschtat all were my disliked. I hated porting into those areas and not hearing any music, made farming ram horns and skins quite a boring task. I'm one of those who prefers the in-game music over his own playlist. :<

anything without a grounds tome is my favourite. Grounds of valor has done wonders to highlight the selfishness and stupidity of people.

My roommate has been tossing the idea of taking a break from the game for a looong time now, and recently she was soloing in that place I can't spell under San'Doria and some other people there doing GoV were so rude and such *** to her that she decided "Yep, its time".

If you get an alliance in there the exp bonus builds to 4k exp in about 10 minutes. You can cap a character and merits in no time at all. It's pretty sad seeing individual parties down there.
SE need to literally incentivise people to team up by increasing the bonus for alliances.

Favorite zone hours concours: Misareaux Coast. The music and scenery are just awesome...


Favorite zones:
- Riverne Site B1 & A1 (Floting islands! How cool is that?)
- Promyvions (have u ever looked into the details there?)
- Halvung/Lebros Cavern (nothing like walking on top of a volcano!)
- Purgonoggo Island (don't you wanna just go there to take a swim?)
- Castle Zvahl Keep (S) (still the most dangerous zone in game)
- Oldton Movalpolos (I once fell down the pitch on a glitch)
- Arrapago Reefs (Pirate graveyards!)
- Ru'Aun Gardens (Floating islands, again!)
- Al'Taieu (Walking on top of water, sharks and UFOs!)

My least favourite would be, without a shadow of a doubt, the CHOCOBO CIRCUIT!!!! I always, always, always get lost inside there, how the hell to I get out?!

Grauberg (S)'s witchfire glen at night in thunder weather is my favorite. My husband took me there when we first got together to hang out and take SS's, and it's just stayed my fav area. I hate that they put an ugly flux in the middle... so i ended up dat swapping it to a pixie for a while.

Least fav... probably Xarc (S) or beau (S)

Favorite zones, that's tough. I'd have to say Empyreal Paradox (inside the BC. abyssea version too) cuz duuuuude. SPAAAAACE! And, hrm.
Really liked Zi'Tah. A lot. The music was just awesome.
Hazhalm Testing Grounds - Awesome music, Einherjar fights and missions/quests with great story and soundtrack.
Windurst Walls - Like chilling with Shanttoto, sipping on tea and talking about plans of world domination.
Purgonorgo Island - Beach Partay!

Least favorite, without a doubt is a longer list.

Attohwa Chasm - still get lost, and climbing the mountain for the phoenix feather mini quests was pretty much impossible for the good feather.
Promyvions - cuz I spent waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much time in there before those missions were even nerfed the first time.
Bastok - Just so boring. And smelly.
Jeuno - Anywhere around the MH zone or Abyssea NPCs. Damn AFKers.
Abyssea Tahrongi - Chloris farming can go suck a dhalmel.

Favorites: Riverne Site A & B, The Sanctuary of Zi'Tah, Al'Taieu

Not So Favorites: Grand Palace of Hu'Xzoi, Ve'Lugannon Palace, Attohwa Chasm

If I had to pick one zone for each, I'd pick Zi'tah as my fav because of the music, and I'd pick Newton Movapolos as my least favorite because it SUCKS ***.

Sandy is great if you turn the music off. It's the bagpipes. The bagpipes ruin the zone. xD

As for starting nation zones, hmm. I started in Bastok, and it's ugly. No offense. It's just all gray with no foliage or grass, just very bleak and industrial. Then there's Windurst, which is lush, gorgeous, pretty music, like a little vacation destination on the water. I love the mog houses in Windy too, with the little fountain. But it's HUGE, takes half an hour to run anywhere. xD So I settled on Sandy. Not as bleak as Bastok, not as large as Windy.

But man, if Windurst were smaller and more convenient to run around in, I'd move there in an instant.

I guess I am a true Elvaan because I do enjoy San d'Oria the most from all three nations. Time for a spot of tea while I polish my shield! Kekekekeke!

My favorites are Al'Taieu, Ru'Aun Garden's, Alzadaal Undersea Ruins, Misareaux Coast, and the Riverne site's.

Least favorites would be the The Garden of Ru'Hmet & Grand Palace of Hu'Xzoi, Sacrarium, Phomiuna Aqueducts, Caedarva Mire.

While the Sacrarium and the Aqueducts had some neat aspects, I hate traversing the zones.

Edit: I love sitting in sky during aurora weather, however it's not exactly common.
