See? I didn't make him up. And apparently he's under the impression I'm trying to make a name for myself. This goofball is on my server and is frustrated that nobody will take Fang Earrings and Spike Necklace to anything resembling an endgame event. I keep in touch with people I met on FFXI often. I have 7 numbers from people I met ingame. They are now rl friendships and even when I turn my game off and /logout I can still stay friends. A couple of them I have been texting and calling for a couple years now. And when I talk to them I don't just talk about ffxi. A couple ppl I talk to actually don't live that far away from me.
But back on the new thread topic lol
Odin's dancing reminds me of the intro to "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya". And is only slightly disturbing. But it is ff themed so I will leg it go. ;)
And yes mithra boobs are awesome.

In all honesty, this is just a game. If yo rank your accomplishments in game with your accomplishments out of game, then your life is dwindling away..lol
If you cant go on a date with a chic because ofyour Dynamis event that night, ...too far
It is a game, but when ur in the game, try to do it right. People do put alot of time into what they are doing here, so just do your best and if u suck too bad. Just start another character and change your name.
Just remember when u stop having fun and have the necessity to play, than you take it to seriously.

My view, for those that care:
It is "just a game". However, I still try and get good gear, help friends out and out DD other friends.
But, when we camp an NM, claim it and nothing drops, I won't get mad.
It's a videogame with math and logic and chances.
My chance didn't come up, oh well, I walk away with a smile and the knowledge that my friends and I will face it again.
When my LS pops Kirin and W Legs drops, my friend beats me in bidding- I don't care.
Why? Because there will be many more Kirin's, more W. Legs, but good people are hard to come by.
I'd rather keep a hundred friends than screw it up by ninja lotting a piece of gear I will eventually get with time/dedication.
I've still got my health. I'm not being shot at in Iraq again. I've got a job, house and food.
The game is not important enough to lose friends or hurt people.
That's my view. Take it or leave it.
