I'm very tired of hearing this arguement & the Gay marriage arguement. these are both BS topics that have been wasting way too much of everyones time. let's legalize pot with an outrageous tax on it, then legalize gay marriage because everyone has the same right to happiness/misery

then for the love of god we can all shut the f*** up & move on

At least look into it before just dismissing something because of a pop culture reference.
It's an equally poor excuse as would using it to begin with.

In San Jose, CA in addition to the state sales tax of 8.25% the city has a 7% tax on med pot. I couldn't care less, I do not mind paying that much in sales tax, for the convenience and quality I still pay less then on the street.

Also put 100s of rules on it, so Potheads wont think its fun anymore, and then they all QQ over how smoking pot isn't as fun as it used to be...

I think they should combine alcohol and cigarette rules for pot.

But if its a valid fact.....why is it any less credible?

Or just go to some other country where no 1 really cares if you do, like Canada or Mexico.....

I just think its funny that no potheads would have known about this unless It was for that Episode....

No way, man. Everyone who smokes weed is a washed-up, burnt-out hippy who can't hold down a job and dropped out of school.

They don't have families or mortgages. They're not like normal people and can be easily identified by their distinct smell, blood-shot eyes, lazy tendencies and their pockets which are always overflowing with well-fare checks.

Not true. Weed smokers and potheads will than have to talk about the quality of their stash. Its a never ending cycle of awesomeness. We are kind of like most american woman; never satisfied and always bitching about something. :p

There's far more complication to the other subject, whether you try and first amendment your statement or not. If you say "I don't think I should be arrested for only going 19 miles an hour over the speed limit, i mean it's not like it was 20" it doesn't mean your "opinion" magically makes you safe from being wrong.

Pot smoking being illegal is essentially a glorified "seatbelt law". It's there to protect people from themselves and I happen to hate most laws of that type. I happen to think pot will slow someones brain function in the long term from the people i know who partake but that doesn't mean I care to debate it all day.

Marriage contains many social and cultural attatchments (especially in the form of a JudeoChristian "wedding" ceremony). While I don't see any pertinent arguements against the civil union or "legal" marriage of two same-sex partners, there is undeniably a problem within religious culture.

I see where you are coming from (and honestly probably agree with you on both counts) but coming into a thread and bitching about how "people are always bitching" is bad enough. Inserting into your post an obvious troll and an obvious derail, on top of that, easily warranted a reaction comment.

So much ignorance spewed on these pages it's disgusting. People hate potheads because they are "annoying dumb idiots" but you probably don't realize there are a lot of "potheads" around you and you don't even know it... I haven't hung out with a munchie eating, giggleing, lets stare at an Escher painting for 2 hours type person since 10th grade? maybe younger? haha.

I would hang out with a group of stoned people 1000000 times over a group of people who have been drinking. I have never worried about getting into a fight with a stoner or having a stoned person puke in my car at the end of the night. That is for sure.

Let me get this straight, you find it annoying to talk to a stoned person sober, have you ever been the designated driver? Are you even old enough to be a designated driver?

And btw, history lesson, pot was targeted after prohibition, because there was a huge government agency set up to target and penalize profiteering on illegal alcohol. When alcohol was again made legal, they didn't shut down the agency, they moved onto drugs. Targeting Coke would be way too hard, its almost impossible to detect, pot however, is easy, it stinks, and is hard hide etc.. so that's why it was demonized. From this point, many politicians have used it as a way to get elected into power. You probably should just watch Grass, or you know, read a book to be honest.

The only risk real tangible risk is inhaling the smoke. McDicks or dirty bird has more negative health effects. I suppose a fat-*** should be vilified also?

I'll be told I'm justifying my "addiction"... that's OK, you're only justifying your ignorance. I'd rather be 'addicted' to pot than ignorance. FF is massively more addictive than pot, and is much more detrimental to ones life, no one sees the hypocrisy in this?

PS... for the record, I have a BA in History as well as a diploma in Architectural Technology, am happily married and have held down a great job in my field for going on 5 years now, annnnnd I smoke pot, how can this be!

Its interesting to me for people like this and flion, who have never actually been show that it causes brain damage or injury, or lung cancer, yet believe it does. And do they answer me with science or scientific studies that prove such (even ridiculous govt ones?) no. They don't. They just call me an idiot and call it an argument. You know why they dont? Cause such arguments don't exist.

how is it not already common sense that we all want everything resolved? even the people arguing? of course that would be nice. but how do you expect these things to happen though? laws have to be laid down, at some point, with some specifics. and it requires, talking/arguing etc.

The only thing I don't like about pot users is how obnoxious they are. They're like the gamer girls of recreational drugs. I wish it was legalized just so I don't have to hear about it or guys like Mesic.
