The debate between Brakiss and stickybuds sure is on a high intellectual level, don't you think?

They're both morons, but I agree with the point 'Stickybudz' (I hope never to say that again) is bringing up. Furthermore, Everquest is older than FFXI and it still receives major content patches, 12 years after its release. Hint: It doesn't rely on archaic hardware.

Or realize that a majority of the posters in this thread are agreeing with him. i hope they drop ps2 cause the game have been with no expan/new jobs since 2008 (wotg), they recently stated that the game is having memory problems because ps2 support and thats why some items/terms spells are not into auto-translate, they also said to have problems with textures and sound file sizes
all of this could be easily solved with a ps3 version from PSN, & telling ps2 users to get a ps3. I say this because most ps2 users have since bought a ps3 slim with no backwards compatablity
(I played on ps2 for many years, now play on the rare ps3 backwards compatable) Lakshmi.Emanuelle said: » i hope they drop ps2 cause the game have been with no expan/new jobs since 2008 (wotg), they recently stated that the game is having memory problems because ps2 support and thats why some items/terms spells are not into auto-translate, they also said to have problems with textures and sound file sizes exactly... So stickbudz is what happened to Steve Jobs after he stepped down as Apple CEO.

They're already running out of HDD space and have hit walls on a lot of features in the game that I'm sure everyone playing would like to see expanded. I looked and looked ... Someone on the official forum was using that text in a custom made picture of Prishe ranting. It was CUTE. Too bad I could not find it anymore D: (Was it you ?) No it wasn't me, and their sig was much more dramatic and far too drawn out. My statement is straight to the point.
I believe this is the droid you're looking for: This thread is so going to get nuked >.> [stupid question]Is it really not possible to keep thing civil?[/stupid question]
@stickybudz916
You already have more reports than total posts. Please tone down the profanity and try not to piss anyone off. Topic banned. Can just ban those that can't. Everyone else seem pretty civil to me.
Edit: like Scragg just did lol. Asura.Ina said: » [stupid question]Is it really not possible to keep thing civil?[/stupid question] put him in a room with dankdragon. it'll be like dividing by zero (maybe the second hand THC will kill the 5 brain cells left in the room). I've only been glancing back and forth at this - trying to dodge my boss. But wasn't the PS2 issue not about TOTAL available space, but the amount of space allowed per game? I didn't see anything about it (maybe missed, maybe not in here, or I could be totally just wrong.)
Idk. I just like want to see ffxi continue and improve. Fenrir.Terminus said: » I've only been glancing back and forth at this - trying to dodge my boss. The PS2 version is being played in a emulated PS2. Which means it's nothing different than a REAL PS2. Same limits apply. If it were to make FFXI for the PS3 it would need to be actuallt re-programmed for the PS3. If you pay attention when you start the game on the PS3 you see this little shinny screen: ![]() So yes, you're shooting your own feet. Anyway I would LOVE to see a PS3 port and would of course buy a copy. I still like the PS2 as platform, love it's games but then I'm ready to anything that comes regarding it being dropped or not. Wait... Mariane.... you gave me an Idea.... what if they are not doing this survey for the purpose of killing the ps2.... what if they are considering to make 11 for ps3? :O!!!
I feel like I understand less now :D Oh well, hope it works out!
You guys are completely off.
They're going to drop PC support. @ Mariane
I kinda suck with tech stuff. I meant make a ps3 version that could be downloaded. I guess I didn't realize how much work is involved in that? I'd say they're still making enough money off us to quit re-hashing old zones, & have some of their programmers get to work on this. just my opinion |
