FFXIV: Has It Changed For The Best?

I'm afraid it will never be like when you first started and everything is new dear. Maybe an expansion zone? Ishguard?

Yeah I'm not expecting it to be like when I started lol.. Doesn't stop me from missing it though.. Wasn't just about exploring a new game, was about exploring it with friends.. I joined XI late, by the time I joined, most people in my LS were already working on their 2nd and 3rd 75's, so there wasn't really any mutual exploring and figuring things out ourselves, I was just being led around like a dog or something =/.. FFXIV is the only MMO I've ever joined in it's infancy (short of FPS since they too, are technically MMO's) I'll always have fond memories of exploring the world with a mutual noob-ness.. Trying to avoid aggro and dragging a train of monsters only to find out we went to a dead end and are ***.. First entering Cassopiea and walking by the slugs to find out they don't aggro, but do have a very nasty AoE they randomly use when you walk by.. Seeing our first Clipper.. I think I ***my pants a bit.

Two questions:

1) What server should a person look forward to joining?
2) Is there Mac support?

1 Find a server where you can get some help or have friends
2 No idea.

Wait what's PS3? O.o FFXIV isn't even out on PS3.

Oh, I just checked the Wiki.

FFXIV will come to PS3 eventually, but that's their final 'release' chance.. They aren't going to release it on PS3 until they're sure they've fixed everything that should have been fixed long ago.. For now it's only on PC.

There are 3 more regions to come and yes Ishguard for the Airship/Chocobo access.

You make it sound like I specifically stalk 14 threads to ***talk it. I mention my opinion once in a while when people ask if they should play. I give my opinion which is don't waste your money. Sorry it's different from your opinion.

I not sure for MAC but people have found ways using mods on the MAC to allow it to play Star Craft 2, FFXI, etc.

YES YES YES.

Yes, the game is right now, the best it has been. Finally on the right track... IMO

Still a ways to go, but 1.19 and 1.20 should provide enough upgrade/tweakschanges to help the PS3 release.

The next few months are gonna be exciting.

I simply could not have put it better.

Here is a simple fact for ppl saying not to waste their money.

No other game has entertained me for so many hours for such little cost.
An example i have is, Uncharted game was $50 and it took me 20 hours to complete. FFXIV cost me $50 and ive gottn 200++ hours from it. How is it a waste of money? No game is worth it if thats your attitude.

FFXIV: Has it changed for the best? No.
Has it changed for the better? Absolutely.

game is alot better, and keeps my interest way more. auto attack ALONE has made this game better.not to mention, without the guildleves, i managaed to gain like 12 levels already, it's great

It's still a far way from good. But it's passable now, imo.

Ya as I mentioned to use on the MAC OS. It would require some good mods.

this is a key point.

I feel like the auto attack/delay based system allows much more responsive game play. Before, you had to act on every move and honestly it was a pain to keep up with while fighting your stamina. The delay system allows you to act and react a little bit more in my opinion.
