A new alternative to FFXI?
Edit: SCREW DRAGON NEST, AND HERE'S WHY:

A lot of mmos come out constantly, and often they all look the same...gotta wait and see.
there is no alternative to XI :3
Not even my favorite game Phantasy Star Online: Blue Burst?

Its about 3-4years out depending on how focused i can stay maybe a lil bit faster.
I have three friends that are writing story lines for me in there free time. If anyone has i good title name PM it to me. If they turned resident evil into a mmorpg I would so be there I love zombie stuff.
First mmorpg I played was lool... Vampire masquerade: redemption. Cool game I would make my own 3d characters from scratch using some 3d model software. I'm not a fan of Nexon games. They look nice on video, but once you start playing, the games turn out to be very buggy and glitchy... you would expect that as they are free to play. However! they are better than most free to play games out there by other companies.
that MMO looks a bit too cartoony for me :/
There again I do play Rift so I can't say much :p Bismarck.Issymo said: If they turned resident evil into a mmorpg I would so be there I love zombie stuff. First mmorpg I played was lool... Should try them Zombie map packs for Call of duty, i'm not a big fan of it, but I thought i'd suggest it :) >Korea
pfftahahahaha Yeah Korea releases awful MMO's with flashy ideas constantly. There are no good Korean MMOs. Enjoy your micro-transactions and unbalanced gameplay. I started playing RIFT but still its so easy to level...Lv50 4-5 days..and nothing is really too fun. The feeling you get when you reached 75 in FFXI and the feeling when you kill your first HNM and when you craft your first Scp +1(22M at the time =D) etc etc, thats what kept me playing. I remember it used to take 1-2months to hit 75 in FFXI and now you can do it in 1-2days. FFXI was old though so they had to do something to keep people playing. I just hope a game comes out copying the old FFXI and no more of these WoW copies and korean garbage. Yeah, Dragon Nest is promising a lot, but it's no FFXI alternative.
Regardless, the only MMO I plan on trying out is TERA online, and it's going to be a Pay-to-play MMO from Korea, so that alone is a HUGE gamble. We'll see. The only MMO's I am considering are Blade & Soul and TERA Online, and maybe Guild Wars 2. That's all really with regards to alternatives to FFXI for me.
Holy crap... I couldn't breathe by the end of the video...
DO WANT. Phoenix.Sehachan said: A lot of mmos come out constantly, and often they all look the same... Korean
Korean MMOs are fun for the first few minutes, until you realize just how shallow they are.
Lots of T&A. I didnt really see any "role playing" element. Looked like Soul Caliber crossed with Tekken or something.

Seems far more on the side of realism to me. Quote: I started playing RIFT but still its so easy to level...Lv50 4-5 days holy grinding Batman! Rift is a game for fun, not for hardcore grinding. You burned yourself out. I might try the free trial download for Dragon Nest. Am playing LOTR atm as an alternative to FFXI, nice graphics, lots to do solo or with others.
Wonder if there'll be matrimony bands in Blade & Soul.
The Korea thing said above, that is all.
Edit: but that does look better than FFXIV. And that game supposedly wasn't made in Korea. It was China. Carbuncle.Flionheart said: >Korea pfftahahahaha Yeah Korea releases awful MMO's with flashy ideas constantly. There are no good Korean MMOs. Enjoy your micro-transactions and unbalanced gameplay. Ragnarok Online is still an extremely popular MMO that's spawned multiple games and even an anime. Maple Story currently has more active players than FFXI and is pretty fun if you're in to side-scrollers. Enjoy your micro-transactions and unbalanced gameplay. I think he means the New Wave of Korean MMOs. Capitalized to be very particular. Before MMOs were popular all of the names ring a bell without even knowing where they're from. Every game you mentioned besides possibly City of Heroes is old-era. Doesn't anyone else see that these people keep pushing out the same games with the flashiest new graphics and a trailer that focuses on the even flashier gameplay for a few western subscriptions? I don't even know how that makes money but apparently it's really easy to develop games like that nowadays or something. Carbuncle.Ceolwulf said: Lineage II ![]() Paladin in Ru'Lude Gardens? ![]() (notice how most of the chars look very similar to the FFXI chars) edit: is that ***in San d'Oria?
