Abyssea Exp = Bad Player?

We have done all the Voidwatch path and get some good items but ill just quote what another guys said on our forum and i agree with it about Voidwatch

Go back to 2004, then. SC/MB hasn't been an accepted good way to kill XP mobs for a long time because it wasn't faster than 100tp WS spam, not because nobody wanted blms.

I miss the old xp pts, and yes I could go back and lvl a job that way, but why. Enjoy it or not whats the point of gimping your lvling rate if you know you can go into aby and get it done much faster. I've leeched a couple jobs, some because I know its not exactly rocket science, others because soloing on that job would be a *** and there just arent the numbers of people doing old style xp pts anymore.

Aby leeching doesnt cause the bad player. Its what the player does afterwards. Are they gonna take the time to skill up, gather the correct gear, read up on and test what their new abilities/spells do? Or just gonna go straight in to an event and do no dmg/miss and have all their spells resisted. Since everything happens in Abyssea these days pretty much, it doesnt really require much skill beyond knowing what the procs are and making sure you have them. I dont like playing with lazy gimp players so I dont do pickup groups. If I have to, the only time I will cringe at an obviously leeched job is if its a tank or healer who obviously doesnt have the skill or knowledge to do what they're meant to. The amount of times I've teamed up with someone to get (their) NMs done faster and been taking hate of nins, mnks etc AS DNC does get ridiculous though.

Oh yeah, forgot to add. I don't need you to do a SC when I can one or two shot a mob consistently on blm.

lol. i don't have 18 people to throw at something. I do things with a group of 6 people at the most (unless i tag along with a shout group or whatever.) we haven't got very far into voidwatch because we're in abyssea most of the time. I'll agree, the gear is really situational and not worth the effort, but we just do it for a break from other things (and cus it's fun... as you've been saying). Try doing something like voidwrought without dieing D: i don't really think you can...

that would be loosing a T3 vnm that took me 3 days to farm for another noob to pop a T1 VNM that was in the pt 2 kill us all. she cost us our T3 pop and was removed from the LS

it does if they know how to use their job i mean seriously most jobs r really easy to do and are not that hard to figure out

Seems like the noobish thing here is to die to a T3 and T1 at the same time. Also fairly fail to take 3 days to get a T3.

Probably the most annoying thing a gimp has done to me is just be there. I can't tell you how many times I have stood around waiting for a group to finish an NM because they all suck to hard to kill it and proc in a timely fashion.

Double post but... In reguards to the thread, gimps will be gimps, Aby or not. Bad players will be bad Aby or not. You can't fix stupid.

ok id like to see you farm a T3 on ur own as a mage (blm or whm) and see how fast u can kill a mob and second we only had 4 ppl there to kill it and would have been fine if it wasnt for that 1 person.

Depending on the zone it would be pretty damn easy as BLM. And I still don't see how a group of even 2 would have trouble with killing the 2.

Bad reason to kick a member from a ls for popping a t1 by accident and you subsequently wiping to a t3, if that caused you to wipe in all honesty I rather not be in that shell anyway. I cant think of one hard t3 besides Diab in Grauberg, should one shot a tier one anyway or at least enfeeb it sleep/bind/grav if its causing you problems.

I farmed and killed Ruminator on BLM many times. Is this comment for real?

it wasnt just the T3 it was a lot of other stuff before hand. but the loss of a T3 is what was the last straw and it wasnt accidental. we were in miseraux i do believe and when our tank told me to pop it i did but the rest of the pt wasnt there. we got the T1 killed but the thing that looks like a CoP mob the gorger i think ended up killing our tank b 4 everyone else was there and ss blink and phlanax only last for so long. i died a lil b 4 the other 2 got there.

Ppl wipe to vnms?

If you'r a WHM you can easily cure yourself and hold mostly anything for a long time.
If you'r a BLM you can easily hold stuff using manawall and MP meds for quite some time.
Try to remember that next time:p
