Its not a code, it activates when the Token is activated and used.
If you cancel ur token, you lose ur satchel. ; ;
Decisions Decisions.
Just to clarify here. You link your account, and then activate your TOKEN to recieve your mog satchel. Once you have obtained your mog satchel, you can change your settings back to "One Time Password: Do Not Use".

You need never use your token to log in ever again, and you will not lose your mog satchel. It shows that they cared more about the sales of the tokens than forcing an extra measure of security on people.

But people are right, once linked the POL ID cannot be unlinked from the SE Members Account, and it does give you fairly obvious warnings... bad luck on that still =(. It does also say to contact the POL helpline if the account becomes unusable, so remember to tell them this when you next try to get help. If anything, demand to speak to a supervisor, because I've noticed in the help processes for many of these games, one person will tell you something completely different to another.

UPDATE:

So we tried to log in this morning again before calling to see if anything changed, and now we can login. So they must have reactivated the account sometime in the 5 hours since my last post. Either way he can log in now so if you have a similar problem, dont worry it should get fixed.

Actually its not very clear..

Q If I remove my Square Enix security token, will I still be able to obtain a Mog Satchel?

A Characters from PlayOnline IDs that are linked to a Square Enix account will not be able to acquire a Mog Satchel after the security token has been removed. Existing Mog Satchels will not be affected.

Think they could be a lot more clear.

Yes, it says you will not be able to "Aquire". It does not say, you will not be able to "Use"

>>>>>> Existing Mog Satchels will not be affected. <<<<<<

Did you miss that part, or stop reading early?

Once you stop using token, you can only not receive a new satchel on another character. You will be able to keep your existing satchel.

With your pour sense of grammer I dont see how you can complain on the education or intelligence of others possibly younger then you. Just pointing that out for you. Don't bother to throw a retort back because I'm probably older then you.

EDIT: btw, pour was grammatically incorrect, your looking for the word 'poor'

EDIT: Should be older 'than' you not 'then' you

Oh wow sorry I spelled pour instead of Poor. My bad right? I'm text messaging my girlfriend at the moment of writing that. The fact of the matter is yea in this situation friend a. who asked friend b. (poster of this thread) to do anything for friend a. sacrificed all his common sense in making that call. Friend B. just cant read that well. So your point is valid it just came off very negative and focused on their education rather then if they are just plain dimwitted and didn't notice the RED WORDS SAYING "DO NOT UNLINK" even though I don't have my token, and I havent been on the main site, if you read the notices and updates in POL you know that you can't unlink after its been done.

After thought, it was kinda shitty for SE to make the token and say oh yea if you stop using it then you have to buy a new one and can never get the mog satchel again. There are other ways to do business lol.

Look at the huge losers of said act Korpg, Woooodum, and ugly Haseyo. Yes venting, no we don't have an answer for them lol. And Cheers! btw fellow Bahamut citizen!

For the record: It's okay to link your POL IDs with your SE account prior to receiving your token. Just don't activate the one time password option until it's in your hands.

Yea sorry I scrolled back through the thread and seen you had to point this out more then once. Good to know. Hope no one else makes the same mistake as these tards friend a. and friend b. did. If you do happen to mess this up for yourself. My solid, tested and proven solution:

/facepalm yourself

Well it was an honest mistake they made, and the issue was within POL requiring dead information of the account they canceled even though the option within POL login settings let you deactivate the need for an SE account to log in. But it's been fixed I think, so all is well.

I made a Square-enix account for my friend because he doesnt have a PC and wanted to get the security token for the mog satchel. Anyway when i made his SE ID he wanted to change the name of it so i cancelled his SE account so i could make him a new one.... Well it turns out that you CANNOT unlink a Playonline ID or RE-activate a SE account once it has been cancelled, and since you need to use the SE acount to log into Playonline, he can no longer log in. He called the Help line today and they have no idea how to help him. The stated that Playonline is not Square-Enix, and they have no control over the problem.....

I just did web chat with someone instead of calling. All I had to do was give them my SE username, e-mail I signed up with, and my birthdate and they restored the account for me. I did the exact same thing and got locked out. All fixed now.

Go to the very bottom of this page: http://account.square-enix.com/manual/en/about.html and select which region you're from.

Who told you to create and link your accounts ahead of time tho?

In the purchase process of the token in the tens of thousands of words they put up, and all the leagalese, there was a line that said "Before you continue farther with purchase, create a Square-Enix account here. *url for the se account stuff i don't feel like looking up*"

So are the people who activated their SE accounts but didn't click to use the one time passwords generally ok then, with no issues?

I have my SE account, I linked it ... and nothing bad happened. I can still and have always been able to log into my account (after fiddling with which password went where) ... so I'm kind of waiting for the other shoe to drop ... and not changing any settings in the meantime. I'll still be good for mog satchel and stuff, just have to wait for the token to arrive to activate it, yes? >.o;
