This really has nothing to do with the token. What the problem is, is that POL requires you to input your SE account password for login even if you disable it in the settings or cancel your SE account. It's a bug on their part and I am sure it will be sorted out soon, especially if you ride on their *** about the problem.
no but you have to register your token in order to get the satchel. i bought mine and have no problems with my account, and all im concerned about is making sure my friend can get his back, having the character is a lot more important than the extra space, and he hasnt purchased his satchel yet so he wont be losing the money.

I'm pretty sure it's a POL based bug. With every new system there's gonna be issues with it just like any major software/hardware first release.
But yeah, it's pretty lame how POL requires your SE account password to log in even after canceling the account and disabling it in your login settings lol. Do you remember the name and password of the SE account you canceled? It might still let you in... Did you try to create a new account with same name?

And the reason we wanted to change the name in the first place is When re registered his SE account, the "Check Availability" button on the form put MY POL ID in the space where we entered the name we wanted for his.... Which would either be because my browser messed up with the autofill function or the coding for the button is messed up. So right now the cancelled SE account has My PoL ID as the name.

And yea we have he info for the account, when we enter it says the Error code i posted above, that the ID or password is invalid. It says the same thing when we try to access it on the SE website Aye, this really doesn't have anything to do with the actual token or mog satchel. The primary issue is POL requiring dead information to login even after you canceled your SE account and disabled it under the login settings. I feel bad for the headaches customer service is gonna get the next few days.
Exactly, they shouldnt allow you to cancel the account if it is REQUIRED to log you into the game.

All it says is that PoL accounts cannot be unlinked from SE accounts and that SE accounts cannot be re-activated. They never state that SE accounts are required once they are linked.
Im not saying your wrong, or that SE hasnt made a mistake, or that your stupid. Just saying that you should be prepared to get screwed. I hope you dont and that it gets solved.

Technically SE did. They gave us the instructions to do this prior to the actual release of purchase for the token.

If they didnt want people to do it they wouldnt have opened the website to do it until 2 weeks from now when people start getting their tokens in the mail.
Granted, but thats aside from the point. When i purchased my token, it didnt give me any more instructions other then to wait for it to arrive. Thats gonna be their main arguement.
If i had time I would start creating an SE account and see what they say during that process. but bout to pt so. ><
well either way its not gonna get fixed till morning. if anyone cares ill post what happens when we call.
ya good if we all know how it ends to prevent others in a similar situation.
Oh btw at one point it says something like "If you cancel your SE account the linked POL IDs will become unusable, please contact Customer Service if that happens."
if you read all warnings/pages to the bottom you shouldnt even have stumbled in this problem... my acc is linked and not a single problem so far for me... reading can be helpful... (srry for the cynicism but... you know) Greetz Magis ('-')/ <fact>
