That sucks balls, you gotta assume ppl are idiots and perhaps see who casts 1st then question them to make sure they know what its used for and to check they are working on an empy. I do pick up alot and even if its not a drop im lotting on I make sure ppl know what its for and try to make sure what happened to you doesnt happen to my members. People read "fl" as lot everything may have a use in the future.

Waiting FOREVER for scrolls of break to drop in aby Mis for my sch... and losing lot on break scrolls (still need to just buy it lol) and I ask the person who won lot, what level their sch or blm is (my sch is 90) "ummm I don't play blm or sch..." *rage* They lot to throw it on AH...kills me lol

Non /nin DDs "I don't need sneak/invis. We have a whm." Or, along those lines, when someone runs through an aggro magnet place and dies in a terrible spot to be raised, and when you ask them why they didn't sneak/invis, they tell you they didn't have it (or worse, couldn't afford it-- pretty sure selling two or three pieces of princess pink aurore gear will get you more than enough gil to get a few silent oils and prism powders!) but thought they could weasel through without getting caught.

"My ONLY job is (insert random job here) and if you don't let me come that job then I'm not coming!" I can understand getting frustrated when you are repeatedly asked to come on a job you dislike. In fact, I retired two of my jobs for just that reason. But when we already have 4 thfs and really need a healer, for goodness sake, don't throw a temper tantrum over it. Have at least a couple jobs you enjoy for useful rotations.

This happened in our last limbus run. I was pulling, we had a rdm/whm, blm/rdm, and a handful of DD's. We were on the trio elemental floor. The rdm was standing too close and got sleepga'd, but the blm was out of range so he was awake. As we were all standing around asleep (except I think it was a ninja who killed the ele, he was the only one awake besides the blm), we asked the blm to toss out cure I's to wake people, starting with the rdm. And I kid you not, the blm goes "I don't have cure. I'm a blm, lolol. Blms don't have cure." >.< Yep, we all just stood there wasting time until we woke on our own.

This is also a true story: Building time in abyssea, our DD's couldn't handle not getting ruby. So instead of making them behave and stop being stupid with their epeen ws's, we went to kill the bats around Lord Varney because they just don't give ruby. The bats are resistant to dark sleeps and need light sleeps. We have one brd and a couple whms. I was the puller for this incident(s)(-- happened at least twice that I can recall) as well, so I reminded them that blms shouldn't sleep the bats and the brds should. Pull a couple-- blm tries to sleep and gets killed. Ok then. Pull again, brd stands there with his thumb in his ear and the whms have to single-target sleep the bats. There were only a couple, so it didn't matter much. Pull again, and the brd still does nothing. I ask if she has horde lullaby. And she goes "What? Am I supposed to be sleeping?" /facepalm.

In the middle of a party, event, or otherwise longish-term setting: "AFK gotta run to the grocery store/walk the dog/clean my room/go pick up my sister/go to my kid's teeball game/etc." People have lives outside the game, and that's wonderful and that's how it should be. But if you are going to be gone for half of an event because of something going on in rl, why not just skip the event altogether and devote your attention to whatever rl thing you are supposed to be doing? ESPECIALLY when we have a wait list to get into the event and someone else could have taken your place in said event? I'm pretty sure your kid's teeball game is more important than speed-leveling that new job that you are never going to even bother to gear correctly, so seriously. Go take care of your rl first, and in your off-time, play the game. Grrrr!

Back in 07' a new player joined our linkshell. He was leveling WHM and one day asked "Why does my Invisible keep wearing?" We replied that the spell wears after a short amount of time. A few minutes later he says it still wearing. After about 20 minutes of trying he finally says "How come everytime I cast Sneak my Invisible wears off?"

I wish that were the case. Several people in my linkshell actually contributed to his 85 trial and they said he gimps it up. I told them they should feel terrible.

thief would pull, and after each fight, I felt something was wrong, after paying more attention to the fights, I noticed Whm was getting drained of all MP, while Pld was at nearly full Mp.
I called out the pld, told him to use his own mp to cure his ***.
"im a pld i shouldnt have to cure miself, thats why you are here, you shoudl cure me faster" "rly? im a smn...."
after a few more fights, he nearly died due to whm not having enough mp, and I was assisting w/ weakass cures. he called me out for not casting strong spells, i lol'd.
Thf pulls 2 links. pld sees them, disbands and runs away "wtf!".
we soemhow managed to clear and win, with just the whm as a cassualty, but he had RR. pld comes back "oh sorry, i didnt want to die, invite again plz"
at this point, i ask my pt "do we rly want him back?" "no" "no" "no" "no"
I tell him we'll seek for a new competent tank. he gets all mad "oh you wont find someone better, ill just flag up and fing another pt in less than 5 mins. you suck you hypcrite, telling me to heal miself when you cant even heal me hahaha" and runs off.
we searched but couldnt find a new tank, so we are 5/6, and let the war tank. 1st kill, things went smoother.
