Ok, you should probably learn what law means. Provide me with the penal code of your state where it says you must obey all officer commands at any given time. Failure to obey a police officer who identifies himself as such is a state law. Give me a state and I will cite their laws verbatim.
You pick any state in the US where the penal code explicitly states you MUST obey commands from a person who identifies themself as a law officer. Also, these people can't even tell them WHAT law they're breaking... They are LAW ENFORCEMENT, they should know the laws they're enforcing.
This is probably what bothered me the most in the video.
The officers couldn't even bring themselves to explain or describe on what grounds/basis they were arresting the folks for.
I'm fairly certain that is mandatory protocol for arresting someone.

Well, first, they're using the video that doesn't show then being told not to dance and 100% makes the cops look like the bad guys

reasonable and lawful order
reasonable
Stop dancing!!! Clearly a reasonable order.
Not to mention the peace wasn't actually disturbed UNTIL the officers did what they did.

2 People swaying Silently, no music playing whatsoever causes a disturbance
Cops arrested / man-handling 5 people for quietly expressing themselves does not cause a disturbance
I'm almost tired of typing in sarcasm
Honestly
How many of you if you were in power would have enacted these laws and carried them out if you were in charge.
Are you so easily offended?

You people who believe this is right and the officers and perhaps the courts who uphold the law that 'dancing' is a form of 'protesting/demonstrating', which actually is illegal in public monuments are all an embarrassment to what America once meant. I'm off to spend my money at the mall.

Dancing in an area that says do not dance? Yeah, we'll just let y'all slide even though you're clearly breaking the rules.

l2growup If they did it after I specifically told them not to, and it was within my power, I'd have done it with a smile out of principle.

Do you not think that is fairly asinine or ludicrous to begin with?
If the law was not within obvious knowledge or observation, would you have not at least toyed with the concept as a happy couple?
The only sad part about this is the cops enforced it beyond necessity.

If there were warnings first, then maybe.
The article on the first page says that before they entered that disobeying the laws would result in an instant arrest without warning.

If I go up to a random person and go out of my way to *** with them, I expect them to try to whop my ***.
If I go out to a cop and go out of my way to *** with them, I expect them to whop my ***.
It's that simple. Don't *** with people if you don't think you can whop their *** (and accept w/e consequences that come w/ it as a result)
