As i've been suspended from game for pissy reasons where i did nothing wrong... I've decided to start seriously crunching numbers for my warrior.

I've kinda got the gist of calculating 2-hand store tp returns, etc.

But i'm not quite sure how dual wield works...

Any insight/mathematical formula(e) would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry if this is kinda nooby and people know this ***.. >.<

Just add the delay from your weapons together and multiply by [1 - your dual wield %] to figure out your delay. Dual wield values can be found here - Dual Wield - Then plug your delay into one of the formulas found here - Calculating TP

If you mean calculating your basic TP return after adding DW then

Add the combined delay of your weapons together, for ease we'll do 200 each, so 400 Delay. Work out reduced delay from DW. Dual Wield V is 35% reduction, so 400*(1-.35) = 260 Delay.
To work out TP/hit, use this table

See where your Delay falls in the left hand side

0 - 180 then 5.0 + [(Delay - 180) * 1.5 / 180]
181 - 450 then 5.0 + [(Delay - 180) * 6.5 / 270]
451 - 480 then 11.5 + [(Delay - 450) * 1.5 / 30]
481 - 530 then 13.0 + [(Delay - 480) * 1.5 / 50]
531 - 999 then 14.5 + [(Delay - 530) * 3.5 / 470]

Delay is 260 so,

5.0 + [(260-180)*6.5/270]

So 80*6.5 = 520/270 = 1.9 + 5.0 = 6.9/hit or 13.8/round.

Store TP works the same way, final TP return*1.x (x being STP value)

Thank you very much!

Edit: That was at the calculator post

Ah, gotcha.

Thank you very much Darkanaseur. The way you put it was quite simplistic too. Thank you.

I don't like ffxicalc. Sure it's a bit faster but doesn't account for different store tp in ws set or multi hit ws tp and caps store tp at 100 I think. Also iirc it doesn't do ranged right

Nice for a quick approximation but I'd play with it from there

is there any easy way to do stp for an x-hit while accounting for 2/tick regain from VV?

Same way you usually do, but you only need a total of 96tp? :P

just keep in mind that "ticks" in-game go off three second intervals, which a weapon skill animation itself is usually two or three

use the calculator, put in your store tp gear and then account how long it'll take to get to 100% tp

jist of it is, on-average you'll get about three ticks maximum, so ideally gear for at least 19% return during the tp phase (or slightly less if you're using a multi-hit weapon skill, i.e raging rush)

brb no crit ws

yumyumyumyum

i would just use [itemset], but the descriptions on each simplify it

i got my war up like a month ago, and tbh the only pieces that were bothersome to get my hands on were the head (thing's gay as hell to fight), feet (bukhis yayyy) and (obviously) the weapon

i suppose widowmaker as filler can be somewhat of a *** too, but the nq hydra drops war body seals, so all the more reason to give it a twist imo (got like two or three of mine from that, and the others from the nq khimaira since we've been spamming apademak here and there)
