Body Suggestion

Hello, body suggestion? I just got Creed cuirass +2 but
i have too many bodys : Valhalla Breastplate, Ares's Cuirass, Homam Corazza, Nuevo coselete, Koenig Cuirass, Twilight Mail and LOLAF2.
so how i can use Creed Cuirass +2? DD mode? (I think Twilight mail is better since you to you 2 tic refresh while melee)Enmity macro?
Someone told me : use full set,because of Set: Occasionally absorbs damage taken, but full set activation rate its like 5%, worth it? or yes, he have too Mitigates dmg. taken based on enmity. Low Enmity:Aprox. -2.4% Damage Taken. Reduction is active even when not on the hate list, High Enmity:Aprox. -10.2% Damage Taken. but it not a sure thing, I think is better use valhalla Breastplate atleast give to you 100% Damage taken -5%, so what is the real use of that body?

for sure main Valhalla head and body, -10% damage, plus full time pdt rings and anyother pdt ***you have! Less damage you take the less enmity you lose.

i quote you indeed, but pld is my main job. right now every 3 month but hope they can fix that job.

It offers the highest base DEF, best TP stats, highest HP/MP buffs, highest Enmity and has the additional dmage mitigation.

-Base Def is never a bad thing, but should hardly be a main reason for choosing a body over another one.
-HP/MP are always good for a blood tank setup and for cure cheat macros.
-Enmity for JAs and flash is always a good thing.
-The damage mitigation is there as icing on a cake.

What do the other bodies offer compared to this?

Homam: nothing, and I'm not even sure it was such a good body for PLD even at 75
Ares: Refresh, so you know it will be a good, refresh body
Valhalla: -5% DT, good for PDT and MDT builds obviously.
Koenig: No idea, stat wise it's like a Creed body waiting for augments to be added.
Twilight: A solid WS piece
AF2: JA macro swap maybe?
Nuevo Cosolete: Fast Cast augment would make it a spellcast swap

Creed+2 should probably be your common choice imo

Non sono un PLD ma spero queste considerazioni ti possano essere d'aiuto. In sostanza tieni creed la maggior parte del tempo e passa ad altri body in base all'esigienza (in sostanzae -damage, refresh, fast cast e WS) CIAO :D

Eh, who knows, maybe the Dynamis update will give me what it takes to finish it. The only real problem is finding enough friends to go in with, cause soloing just doesn't sound fun to me. We'll see, we'll see :)

Ares would be the best DD tp body for pld, it offers 12 str for fstr, 30attack, 1tic of refresh, mp and hp to boot. DD tp with a better defense would be Af3+2 as its damage taken is roughly 5%~10% give or take on enmity, and shares the same buffs as Ares(hp/mp/refresh).

The 2 arent too far apart from damage, and inside abyssea even less. Although af3+2 will have the +20 acc in its favor aswell when outside.

And no you shouldnt be using full set, you can use 3/5-4/5 of the set np, but the head should never be used outside of casting at the start of a spell. Should work for Zelus Tiara. Will have no problem getting gear haste cap.

Seems one body has been forgotten, Grim cuirass, more att more str than Ares. Personally Ive been using that on the rare occasion I get to play with pld in abyssea. Unless I need the refresh from Ares during that particular TP phase. Just a thought.

Get a full +2 set.
Then get a real weapon.

Until then, stop commenting on other people's gear/job choices.

I would say that using your Creed Cuirass +2 is a decent choice, I personally prefer to use it, and then would (if I had them) use valhalla for PDT/MDT builds (even over full Creed +2) to the poster saying to never use the Creed Helm +1/+2, I'd say this is all based on the situation, as no piece of PLD gear is 100% fulltime gear. In abyssea and /war, which I do on a regular basis just fine, I'd prefer it over the haste. Don't get me wrong haste is nice, and it's extremely difficult to hold hate when not doing damage, which haste helps you do. Shield skill and Magic recovered when hit though are both very very nice. Now /nin yea haste goes hands down, not just for shadows but you also lose the JA's from /war requiring faster hits to keep the hate on par.

I won't claim to know everything about PLD, and I'm certainly not an old PLD who was 75 before the game even came out. I'm fairly new at it, but I make it work. This is just my $.02, in the end it's up to you what works best for your play style OP.

If you're looking to use PLD now (in abyssea) you should focus all your efforts on DD. There's absolutely no reason to worry about damage mitigation. It's really pretty dumb how easy NMs are. I stopped using -pdt on BLU recently just because it's not even worth it. Get an Almace and go to town RR GH Apoc. You may even wanna scrap the shield and dual wield for the extra offhand hit on Chantu. So, in conclusion, probably stick with twilight mail or possibly AF3+2. Chantu can output some pretty insane numbers; I would think PLD could actually be a decent DD with it.

The activation rate for the set bonus is def higher than 5% with 5/5, with only 2 pieces ive see it activate frequently.
