So playing around here now and trying to get the right setup inside Abyssea and outside. Thus far I've played with GH, RR and Apoc atmas along with this gearset for WS
Use Cent. earring over jupiter earring, and use perle hands over creed+2. And heca(+1) subligar if you can manage to camp it.

As far as TP gear goes, Zelius(which has been mentioned)+ hoard ring, Grim/ares body over creed+2 body. Dual wield shamshir+2(str path).

aftermath 500 damage crits + capped haste 230 delay. you can do the math but with pld enmity and that kind of damage, its no longer looking at the mnk my friend.
Sadly thats not how it works, which is why it will keep facing a monk. While your aftermath may give you 500 crits, its not averaging that. Youre going to average about 300 or so per swing, thats average, you dont have full 100% crit rate nor capped attack 100% while swinging nor is your aftermath 100% each swing so it has to average out overall. Which its going to be probably 630-670 average damage per attack round.

While a monk is going to average 1200-900 per attack round. Thats quite a big amount of damage to make up per attack round. Monk has roughly 21% DA + 18% TA(28%w/ A&O)+kicks so its attacks per round are going to average higher+ any hit(punch/kick, you can thank impetus for raising the average on that, its that good.) is going to average higher than sword. Even with pld's lower delay(44single, 90 dual)vs a monks(106) the amount of damage a monk is putting per round is too high for a pld to keep up with.

So melee wise, pld doesnt stand a chance, ws wise? youve noted yourself youve gotten it to go up to 5k, but its more around 2-3k which is actually where the average is going to fall around, 3.5k-ish. A monk's victory smite is going to average over 4k sadly.

You're looking at monk having about a 40% lead in damage over the best situation a pld can be in(I havent even included monk counters either...) tbh, which is why pld needs to be adjusted more w/o breaking it.

flash, sentinel etc are only useful when you've slipped under capped at or within the first 3 seconds of an NM fight. As it will surely slow your dps over time when fully buffed.

Your pld is looking really nice, hope you get to finish your ochain. You probably shouldnt use it outside of o-shi moments or you+ another DD low manning something.

also tried using ATT+major combo'd with RR and Apoc which seemed to not really change the results of the ws.

I've gotten 5.1K cdc's but typically see around 2.5K-3.5K more often then anything.

Also, thoughts on subbing NIN and WAR... I've been offhanding joytoy because tp build is helluva lot faster then using a shield and tbh i dont need the shield cause the damage i've been doing keeps hate just fine now. I have the full creed+2 set and was thinking of using the cuirass instead of twilight mail for the attack+ instead of 15 dex... thoughts?
You could do some Improvement but your set isnt bad at all.Would be some very small improvement.I'm a bit new into pld ws crap but here is what I think.

This is considering you dont change shield/range caus TP
could replace pixie for another thunder pearl if you dont have access.
And Tumbler trunks are fine if you dont have friend to kill NH.

If you wanted a cheap or use w/e you have in your MH for your other jobs, your set is already pretty decent.

If you wanna be a beast then its my suggestion.

Why ares for TP over creed+2? If looking for the refresh then I'd leave my twilight on full time cause its +2 a tic not +1. If you're suggesting Grim or Ares for the attack on WS then yea makes sense. I'll test out with ares to see if the extra attack makes a lot of difference.

Ares/grim for tp, for the attack. Since youll be going for a damage setup, then subbing /nin and dualweilding is going to give you better damage, therefore your attack wont be capped while you are meleeing.

Twilight body well outdo grim/ares on ws both inside and outside of abyssea.

Multi hit ws doesn't necessarily make double attack better... actually often the opposite. Anyways given your setup /war brutal is only adding 1.6% dmg. 1.4% /nin. If you were 4 dex earring would be about 1%. Once you get eponas ring might want to reconsider not sure. The 10 att one is definitely good.

As far as the others... acc shouldn't matter. I doubt I'd put ares on par with twilight. Basically 15 dex for 22 more att while grim is 30 more. Hard to say really kinda situational. 15 dex should be about 4% dmg... but 30 att could easily be more depending on how much att you got and mob def

Cant decide on Cuchulain belt or Anguinus ~ any suggestions?

this is my set atm, I also have cuchulain, been playing back and forth but not sure if either is really making a difference ~ perhaps snow belt? It's a tough slot to chose from...

Getting close to wrapping up almace and curious as to what seems to be the best agreed upon between ear/hands choices.... currently debating between:

Ear:
Pixie/Brutal or Cent/Brutal

Hands:
AF3+2 vs Perle vs Heca vs Askar

Mainly only use pld outside of abyssea and for soloing.
Any input would be appreciated.

I've always been told that Heca is the best but that was by a pld who had the +1's so I can't say if NQ is going to win or not. I can say with certainty that Askar fails compared to the other choices. I've never really looked at it closely since I can't wear heca as a blu ; ;

Since heca can be augmented now though... I don't think it would be hard to ensure it is better.
