Ok so I decided I would take some of your advice and download some old games like FF7 and Suikoden from Torrent. I have never used this type of program before so I am a bit confused on how to get the games to play once downloaded.

I have them both downloaded and and when I click it says just a image or nothing happens. I went ahead and also downloaded DAEMON tools and tried to mount them and all that but I am still not getting anywhere.

Am I supposed to burn the images to a CD?

On the FF7 game I got as far as even installing the game but after install it still asked for disk when I want to play, or it will just install again.

So my question is once I have the Download done from Torrent and assuming it is the correct files what is the next steps to get it to play ready.

Right click Daemon once its open. Create a virtual drive. Then Click again and go to Virtual Devices > The Drive > Mount Image. Easy

What attribute said, but also:
FF7 has 4 discs.
After you install it, you need to switch to Play Disc 1

I think hes using an EMU, not the PC version. Don't see any need for Daemon with PC ISO's.

Did you unmount the iso image after you finished installing it?

Most the time when using iso files to play games on the pc you need to keep the iso image mounted in order to play. Daemon tools basically tricks the pc into thinking you have the actually hard copies of the game your playing etc.

So to most who are having troubles I recommend also treating it like you own the hard copies. Mount the image (in rl this would be putting the disk in your cd drive) and then treat it like you would installing any other game.

If it doesn't autoplay the setup.exe, go to 'Computer' and open up the new cd driver. (Deamon tools creates a virtual cd driver so you can check which letter it is by opening it from the small icon in your panel ^^).

Run setup etc. An then you should be good.
Don't forget to mount the image iso before trying to play however as the game will not run unless it mounted. They are ways around this like using a no cd crack for the game but I can't tell you how to do that here I'm afraid.

Hopefully that was a little informative and you're able to play now! ^^ Have fun. Let me know if I help further.

That's a good point I naturally assumed he was playing the pc version as he said about installing it O-o.
Are you using an emulator?

If so, right click Daemon Tools icon,
Mount Iso,
Find appropriate iso, double click and its mounted.

For Pc Games!
If the setup.exe doesn't self boot, then go to,

Computer,

Open the cd driver where the iso is mounted. (Again check Daemon tools if you're not sure about the cd driver letter),

Find and run Setup.exe.

Mount the 'Play Disk' usually Disk 1 like previously said.
Play the game :D

For Emulators.

Mount the game Iso.

Open your emulator.

If not configured do so with the self help wizard that run automatically on first use or find it under the options menu (Usually).

You want to click the run game option (cant remember exact name for the life of me.) And it should load or!

* Open emulator.

Click the run game from iso option, browse and locate iso and you should be done. (this saves mounting the iso with Daemon tools etc).

ok so I have the download and it s a RAR file if that matters or not. Do I need to do any zipping or anything before this?

When i mount file nothing happens so I did what attribute said but it is doesnt do anything once mounted. Do I need to save the file as MDX? MY default search does not pull up the file I have to switch it to all files for it to find it.

Once its mounted a CD should auto pop up like you stuck in a CD. Or are you mounting a zip? unzip it for the ISO files. Mount the ISO or IMG whatever type of file it is. If it doesn't auto pop up go to My Computer and you should see it like its a real CD ROM.

As for Disk 1 of the FF7 file it is the install nad the play disk as well.. I have it installed and it mounts and plays fine but I can not bypass the install menu when I want to play it.. and I can not click to play from desktop unless Daemon is open.

Suikoden game when I mount still doesnt do anything on the left side of screen it shows CD rom and ISO file so I would assume it is fine but after mount nothing happens.

I wish I was more computer savy.. console have qept me busy for the last few years so I am behind the times

Just went and checked my copy of ff7PC.
4 discs. Disc 1 is the installer. Discs 2-4 are play discs.

Suikoden is a PSX game, so you can't play it straight from your PC. You need to run an emulator, like ePSXe, in which case you wouldn't even need to mount it on daemon tools.
