Uther's Grip VS. Pole Grip
As the topic says.. DA or STR and GA Skill... Its a tough pick for me but I really like Uther's. Comments, debates? I have the MAX for DA besides the grip so I just can't decide.
sword claymore rose or pole(depending on builds etc) this grip offers nothing unless i am missing something.

Well. Before Abyssea it was IMPOSSIBLE to cap Double Attack so no rate was ever listed.. I see no difference really with Pole. Perhaps we are at or over the cap now?
I honestly don't believe the cap on DA is 25% like some ppl say

About 5 years ago on every major public FFXI forum that was ever created. Though I fail to see how that chart relates to STR v DA. Pole > Uther
Edit: Oh, using it to show the cap on DA. Fair enough, although to be fair back when that chart was made there really was no way to cap double attack.
Iunno, i'll just main Pole a few days to see if I really see a difference and parse it on the same mobs. As far as I can tell though ATM I DA the same as before.

The +4 str is completely worthless now even out of abyssea(as with +1's/+2's and new accessories you can easily hit cap(or bring it to a point where the +4 will not come anywhere near outdoing 2%DA). GA +4 isn't going to make anywhere near as big of a difference as DA2%. Uther's is the only piece of ***gear rani drops..
edit. It's not just Pole Grip that completely destroys Uther's. There are at least 3 other grips that also make it a complete joke for every single situation.

even if you were capping DA, provided there is even a cap, Uther's grip would certainly not be the next best choice.

I dont have that shitty strap, but if you want to figure out if there is a cap or not put on all your DA gear past 25%(idk where this number came from) and then parse, then do another with 25% see what happens.
