just curious to see what all everyone has played
I started with ffxi, i've also played rappelz, Runes of Magic, about 5 mins of vindictus (hated the controls), and aika. now i'm hoping to play rift.
oh, i also played 2 flashed based mmos, sacred seasons and sacred seasons 2.

I've played so many. Ragnarok Online for a while, Star wars galaxies, Gunz, Gunbound, WoW, bunch of free ones that I tried when I was younger too, cant remember much of their names. I go back to some of them when I get bored, but always back to FFXI lol. SWG(prior to them butchering the ***out of it) and RO were my favorites though aside from FF.

Hero Online and PlanetShift. The former i didnt understand, and also no controller support. updates where a pain too. The latter requiered way too much from my PC, and it didnt look so good either. Maple Story too but that didnt had the MMORPG feeling like any of those.

i almost tried planeshift, it was my first year of college and i didnt have windows for my mac, also the college didnt allow access to playonline so i couldnt play on my ps2. i was having mmo withdrawals, and it was the only f2p game that supported mac.
it wouldve taken 3 days to download it, and the impression i got from the forums was it was basically all furries =/
i forgot to mention that i played the free trial of wow at that time too.

I played Phantasy Star Online by Sonic Team as my first MMO (although it really wasn't ever quite "massive" except for the lobbies and it was more like a 3rd person shooter than an RPG type, but it was technically "MMO".)
Then I played FFXI. I also played CCR's Rising Force Online, tried out Turbine's Dungeons & Dragons Online, and Cryptic's City of Heroes/Villains and Champions Online. I also played Phantasy Star Universe and FFXIV.

my high school years was full of trolling phantasy star online and ragnarok online with friends. :c and then i've played world of warcraft, vindictus, shin megami tensei: imagine, aion, city of heroes/villains, maplestory, and a ton of other free garbage mmos through the starter areas and then quit. i don't know why i keep downloading things when i know i'm not gonna keep playing them. :|
Fairyland (lol) was my first MMO. That stopped being free to play, so I moved onto Ragnarok Online during the free trial. Stopped after that, too little coordination in the game for my feeling although I did like it.
After that, it was FFXI. Gave WoW a shot for the free month but didn't think it was worth paying for.

I've played RO for a short while with friends,same with Maplestory.Maybe a few weeks each.Main ones were a few years on PSO,a few years on PSU and now FFXI
FFXI was my first, and frankly my only until it's gone for good, or at least until XIV becomes "complete" in the eyes of the player base.
I've played WoW for the sake of my friend, but couldn't bring myself to really enjoy or find any inner substance that makes it worth my investment of time, effort, or money.

Are we talking MMORPG? Or just MMO? For the former, Diablo II, FFXI and FFXIV, if it's the latter... Far too many to name. I started with Medal of Honor: Allied Assault though.. Which came out in like 2002.

I'm not going to turn this into a WoW vs ... thread, but don't jump the bandwagon if you've played it. It's not like you decided to play wow not knowing at all how the game was.

I installed LoL but haven't tried it yet.
Been thinking about picking up Guild Wars again but decided against it (and now i'm kinda regretting it :x, hell even if I just had the base game i'd be happy lol)

FF14 (tired of it after a week)
Rune of magic (stopped around lvl 40 cause graphism was become shitty like hell, too bad start was cool...)
Perfect world (stopped post 30 cause its almost impossible to lvl up after this without PAY for lvls)
Aion (still testin it atm)
WoW a month (the free try out w, must admit if was not on ff11 i'd prob play it still)

1)PSO ~Didn't know what a MMO was at the time so my friend and I only hung out with each other.

4)DCUO ~Just opened back up my account while FFXI is down. My problem with this game is I enjoy making chars more then grinding the same quest over and over to lvl them. I think when this game gets more endgame content it will be really good.
