I'm so tempted to build a new desktop with my current income, however I really should pay off some of my student loans with it...

Depends on if you can push back the payments for the student loans. Which is more important right now?

I'm still considered a full time student, so yeah.

I mean the unsubsidized parts are still collecting interest but it isn't that much.

lol I was lucky my college gave me a half assed decent amount of my financial aid money back in refunds, finally able to upgrade my desktop to ALMOST up to date ( Intel i5 3570k, 16GB ram )

bought a new wacom tablet. Im drawing with it and crying at the same time because it costs so much T_T

I'm getting a printer first, then a wacom :( or wacom them printer I dunno lol...

I still owe 350 on the new computer so I guess I should hold off until I pay that off rofl.

I thought I was being clever buying one of those "wireless" Wacom tablets last time (it uses Blue-Tooth signals to transmit the data to a receiver on the PC) but it's terrible...it's constantly losing the signal if I put the stylus down or leave it idle for only a minute or so, so I'm constantly having to re-pair up the device through the Windows wizard. :/

I want to get one of the old fashioned types with the dedicated fire-wire type plug, but the price for that last one makes me want to just tough it out until it breaks or something. :p

Hope your new tablet is nice and large, at least. :)

well, this one has the potential to be wireless. I got the intuos5 but I didn't buy the seperate wireless package.

Ive been using a medium sized tablet for years. I got the small intuos 5 though..its like 4x6 or something but the tablet itself is about the same size as my other one but its drawing surface was 8x6..

it works. I don't have an issue acclimating. Im just irritated I had to get a new tablet. Its really weird though because I can control the cursor on the screen with my finger >.> I dont know why the tablet is touch sensitive but it can't pick up my old tablet pen..so weird.

My other issue is I also bought a legit copy of open canvas and my mother bought a legit copy of PhotoshopCS5 when I got my computer fixed..so I've got 2 new programs and none of the brushes are the same as what I was used to using in my ancient programs. Nothing feels right anymore! CHAAAANGE T_T
