having a midlife crisis at 25, since my life expectancy was drastically cut short by news from my doctor concerning some recent blood tests

oh noes!!! what happened

other than a severe shortage of Yorouichi pictures, apparently my blood sugar is out of control, so i can't eat anything that has lots of natural sugars, or anything with gluten, can't drink any kind of juice (including sports beverages like Powerade), i'm limited to water and milk, eggs, and other proteins, completely banned from working in the hotel and hospitality industry, along with any line of work that has a primary basis with food handling, which basically throws out 3 years of culinary education, etc., and even if everything went right, i'd most likely only live into my early 50's.

But because i couldn't hold work for atleast 13 months now, i'm a broke *** living on income support, which barely pays my rent and other expenditures, let alone special diets, my type 2 diabetes could at any time change to type 1 and i'd end up on insulin for the rest of my life, and if anything goes wrong, i'm pretty much screwed.

Damn man, that sucks :(

nah, the part that sucks is having no money to enjoy having a mid-life crisis. I want my damn ego boosted with an awesome sports car damn it!

Can't work around food products period. In essence, can't go back to doing what i used to do, because of the physical and mental strain, as well as the potential for temptation, and the fact a good cook will taste his or her food, as part of quality control
