The capability to play doesn't mean it's good for the system. Odds are you're putting way to much stress on the GPU and causing it to run hot which will cause deterioration over time.
My PC is definitely dying then, the CPU fan is running fullblast nearly ALL the time. \o/
This is why I always recommend after market cooler even if you don't overclock.
They keep your CPU cooler thus less wear and tear from heat.
I googled that and first result was this. Looks good. :p

Is the heatsink/fan free of dirt/dust?
Nope. It's very dusty but I can't even afford a can of air until tomorrow. :p

If you're extremely careful you can take the fan out and remove a lot of the more solid dust from it. As for the heatsink, you could just try blowing it out while the fan is removed.

My mother's PC constantly had the CPU fan whirring up to max rpm until I cleaned it, at which point it ran about 15° cooler and much quieter.

Nah, I mean that one may be okay but I've never used artic so I can't really say.

In reality either the 120mm or 92 of these will be fine.

I had that problem yesterday ordering parts to repair my other PC.

or cuz you know...the difference that would be for the games you'd play wouldn't be that much. so get something that's decent and within budget. then splurge when you actually get more $$ when the uber graphics card comes out when the expected life span of your card is at the end.

if it didn't specify it was plug-n-play than most likely you either have had to
A.) install drivers before installing hardware.
B.) install hardware then install drivers
or the usual
C.) its the thing's damn fault so they should make it to work every time i want it to.

That was the selling point for me.
That and as I've said before x58 Sabertooth has a close gap between it's two PCI-16's thus I didn't want to do SLI.
