I'm not Miss Mathwizz to give you some drawn out reason as to why black belt is better than twilight. The other stats you lose for that 2% DA isn't worth it, among other variables that most of the MNK threads can explain for you. @_@ Why wouldn't you use a belt that gives you near half the haste cap and get better stats than that 2% DA in other slots where you'd be trying to make up for that missing haste? ;o It just makes sense to me. :|
How am I sacrificing haste (or other stats; edited) in other slots, if a typical mnk is so far over cap anyways? Like what gear sets are you envisioning that I'm dropping so many other stats for haste? Thaumas pants have 6% Twilight has 7, that's 13. Thaumas body has 4% now we're up to 17. Tantra Crown+2 has 7%, so now we're at 24%. You can get the last 3% off Nom gloves (which are best TP piece anyways). And I didn't even use the shoe slot, and my mnk is < lvl 30... Where am I dropping such optimal stats to gain haste lost on the belt slot?

Why are use tantra crown? :o If you realllly want to know a better answer, go read one of the MNK threads. You want to do damage even when TPing right? Getting capped haste isn't the only concern. :|
What's your solution then over tantra crown+2 and why is it bad? Mind you, my set is still 1% over cap, and not using the shoe slot...

You can easily replace tantra crown+2 with HQ tenryu somen augmented. Does that like make you feel better about my set or something? it's still capped haste with twilight..

ok Kvazz. I did overlook the G mask. That's true. I guess the kicks/STP is better than thaumas? I was simply going by haste. still the same value so that is kind of moot. Though I'm appreciating the input. I'm still at an incredibly high haste value with twilight (you lose 2% if you go from Tantra Crown >> G Mask, so I'd be at 25% haste even with twilight). I'm hard pressed to believe the melee gloves are gonna beat nom mitts (given capped accuracy situations)

Not gonna say twilight belt is completely useless, but I highly doubt it's in any optimal builds.

I never once said twilight was optimal. I'm not even trying to. I'm simply saying it's ok to use. It's not "omfg don't even suggest it", kind of bad. Which was the first and only answer I got from Domi. Yet I have provided justifiable builds with very widely accepted other TP pieces. Fitting in Twilight as well.
