I tried the trial.
I'm gonna do the 7 day trial when I get home. Spent all day yesterday downloading the damn patch =( hate my internet speed.
It didn't fare to well on my internet either, it's just slow in general I think.

Coming up on my second ~lv60 character. Now's a pretty good time to get into it since they're adding a bunch of new endgame stuff.
As for download speed, make sure P2P Sharing is off, it destroys your download speed.

Nice Proth and Sagi. You guys on the same server? Also I saw there was PvE and PvP. Is it like WoW where you can get your *** handed to you by high levels in certain areas without accepting challenges? (I.E. which the safest server type for newbs)

Safest, and in extension most boring, would be PvE. No Outlaw Declaration (PvP flag) there. GvG is Vanarch and by complete agreement by both Guilds only. Usually Vanarchs have patrols and guards near low level hotspots for gankers, so it isn't terribly dangerous on a PvP server.

Yeh PvP servers are full of asshats who will one shot you for the lulz, any area outside the town is fair game as far as I am aware. PvE is the middle ground where you have to accept a challenge before another player can attack you. I'm on Serpentis Isle but I am not subscribed atm.

I played that 30 minute browser version and I had so much fun as Sorcerer (was it?). If I really like the 7 day trial, I'll prolly play TERA. (depending how my ISP treats me on the 7 day trial)
