Otherwise, the magic attack will do about 190 HP of damage.
You gain Level 2 Key Spheres x2 for overkill.
You can use one to access Yuna's path. You can now learn CURE and PRAY and
other slightly useless stuff if you want to. I recoment staying on Tidus' path
for now, but the option is there.

Not seeing why First Strike would help in that fight, might be better off abusing elemental changes and swapping the sword appropriately.

Everything! See, grapes are delicious. Sweet, tart, tasty, and come in two different colors to please all your picky eaters! However. Grape-flavored things taste nothing like grapes! D: They taste all... purple and stuff! Why is grape even associated with purple? Grapes aren't purple! They come in red and green! They don't have a purple taste, either! ;; Grape-flavor is a terrible offense to real grapes everywhere. It's true.

Hmmmm, Laff, might want to consider jumping into Rikku's spot and getting steal and use, or even Mug. I remember knocking out even the tough armored monsters easily with stolen items like the various status ailment grenades. The smoke bomb one works really well on the melee types.

Might be worth considering getting him into rikku's section for steal and use as well as all that agility (or whatever the speed stat was)... I was always swaping her in and out for free hits because she could often get 2 turns for every time the enemy got one. Tidus could probably run circles around everything with that.
Use and albehd potions... I think that's just as fast as a normal potion and those are so easy to get.
But I guess that depends on whether or not you have auto-med or not, since it's a solo run...
