i do enjoy the crowd as well. eventually (if the movie is good) annoying people just... fades out, and it does make a funny/horror/action film more enjoyable when it gets reaction from people at the same time.
I haven't been to the movies in something like 4-5 years. :o And I don't go alone, either.
I guess I should stop talking about Lord of the Rings when asking girls out and it might end my bad luck streak?

We went to see The Strangers opening night(terrible idea, terrible film) and there's a part where one of the bad guys is standing behind a female. The crowd was all quiet cause it was an intense moment or whatever and I kinda yelled "TURN AROUND, ***!" and everyone started laughing. Probably because the movie was so *** terrible. >.>

I usually hate going to the movies because of the annoying things people do >_> I prefer just downloading a movie and watching on my own since I can pause and do something else if I feel like it. If it's fairly empty it's fine but when it's packed I just get annoyed :/
I saw Ice Age 2 with my friend (shut up it was awesome) and we were the only 2 in there so we could have our feet up on the chairs in front and comment on stuff without disturbing others lol (not to mention the awesome air conditioning when it was super hot outside)

We have a theater here that shows movies that get pushed out of theaters (between theater and DVD release time, basically) for only $3. The theater is pretty old, it's the one I used to go to when I was a kid, lol. But if you don't want to deal with crowds or don't want to pay $15 just for a movie, it's pretty nice. :o
and yeah volk. you can take food and drinks in.

:[ That sucks! This one closed for awhile after they built the IMAX/Edwards theaters. No one wanted to go to the theater without stadium seating and smaller screens. xD But they reopened it for the cheaper prices, seems to do pretty well. Probably make all the money back in popcorn/drinks, lol.

there is one like that as well, close by too, good place to see some movies that are not worth full price..... and hey, they have $1 hotdogs as well!

Speaking of movies and nearly-empty theaters (since we're sharing). My first girlfriend and I went and saw the remake of Texas Chainsaw Massacre as our first movie together. There were only two other people in the theater, sitting somewhere behind us.
At one point she was resting her chin in her hands and the chainsaw guy jumped out... Made her jump and punch herself in the jaw. Lucky she was a good sport, because we both laughed about it.

i don't believe you. also arent movie tickets in sweden way more expensive than tickets in the US? ours are about $8-10 depending on the region.
